Atari has released new information on several of the creatures you face in the upcoming action role-playing game, Silverfall. You can find information and art of these monsters below and higher resolution shots right here on Gameshark .

Mechanical dragon

This rather gangly tin can is considered by its creators – technology-leaning goblins – as the jewel of current technology, but judge for yourself: Two speeds, three valves, next-generation coal motor, 37-caliber flame cannon and, of course, the standard spare wheel. Let’s not forget its awesome jaws, capable of grinding stones and breathing fire. A sure bet, as far as offensive robots go.

Ice monster

No one knows how these abominations came to ‘life’. An entire expedition, having gone into the bowels of the frozen hills looking for crystal coal, never returned. The rescue team only found several horrifying silhouettes of what was assumed to be a baby "Ice elemental," surely captured by the expedition some time before they were exterminated. Since that day, this creature has become a thing of legend, and those who can intelligently believe in its existence are rare.

Wheeled goblin

These technology lovers have even been known to self-mutilate in order to follow their precepts. The idea is to increase their physical capacity while taking advantage of the latest ‘internal’ innovations. In any case, it’s not a good thing to find yourself in their terrible helix grasp or in the way of their wheels.

Ghoul

The ghouls, spurred on by their hate of the living, have never ceased roaming the earth since the time of their death. Their decomposing bodies, possessed by the energy of the negative universe, eventually undergo serious mutations. Their movements and screeching terrify even the bravest of heart and despite their state of advanced putrefaction their muscles give them Herculean strength.

Guekheness

No one really knows where they come from. Some say that they are deformed gnomes, but in truth, the Guekheness are more similar to evolved insects. From larvae, they become humanoid insects with chitin characteristics. The fact that they have been seen wearing armor and carrying weapons shows that they are organized and intelligent.

Lionroot

The Lionroot is a vengeful incarnation of magic forests which have been abused by the followers of science. It is born of earth fertilized by blood, and hunts down all nature destroyers. It is a giant, beastly creature with lion-like features and a shell made up of entangled, gnarled roots. Two roots and the shell extend in long steel tusks, which are best avoided.

Werebeasts

Regardless of race, every nature follower has the power to change into a werewolf. The results, however, are different from one race to the next: lion, rat, panther and werewolf. Their vivacity and strength, coupled with their claws and fangs, make them awesome combatants.

Zombie dwarf

Sent by the Death Shadow, this undead dwarf will cause a hero some trouble. Mounted on its zombie Urguln, the strength of its blows is impressive. One must pay particular attention to its barbed tail, which is capable of destroying breastplates and common armor. It is usually accompanied by undead Trolls.

Prince Dalaen

At one time wise and sophisticated like the rest of his race, this Elf of noble lineage made a pact with evil incarnate and thus was transformed physically, as well as mentally. Little remains of the original being and his hate of others runs deep. He pounces on his prey and tears it to shreds between the reinforced talons of his giant eagle.

Owing to the lack of an overarching storyline, Mount & Blade is a game that’s difficult to get into at first. If you can get past the growing pains, however, it offers a compelling, dynamic world that you are free to explore at your leisure and a combat model that is both frenetic and addicting.
