This early build of Silverfall looks good but it was a bit difficult to get set up on our systems. Some of this can be chalked up to our systems not meeting some basic requirements, but there certainly were some problems that proved difficult at times to work out. In the end we got the game up and running, and once we figured out what the problem was we didn't have any further issues. This is to be expected in a build of the game that doesn't even come with an installer, but here's to hoping that Atari clearly states on the box what this game is going to need to run effectively. Gamers shouldn't be concerned with the problems we had because obviously this won't be the state of the final retail build..
Silverfall may not be what one might consider a mainstream role-playing game, but Monte Cristo's RPG looks to do things a bit differently, with the end result being good clean RPG fun from our limited hands on time with the game. The game will also come with a multiplayer component, which we didn't have access to at the time of this writing. We'll have a full review of the game when it ships in March.
