Soup du Jour Review
11 out of 15
Digital Eel cooks up a suprisingly delicous matching game that everyone can enjoy.

If you do fill your pot and things start to go over the side, you can grab objects if your are quick enough, saving you from losing one of your free spills and garnering a high score when the level is through. Soup du Jour really is about keeping the ey on the prize while keeping everything inside the pot until stuff stops falling and the level is done. It's like opening a gate full of newborn pups - you just don't have enough hands to keep all that stuff from escaping sometimes..

Soup du Jour is simple, clean fun with a decent use of physics in a 2D environment. The game looks great, is simple to pick up and play and offers a nice challenge for anyone that wants a twitchier match-style game. If there is one complaint I could lodge against this game it is that it is too short - there are only ten levels total in the game. On the other hand, playing through the game from start tio finish multiple times yields some replayability because each level plays out differently every time due to its random nature. If you want to play a game that is cute, fun and makes good use of of some wacky physics, than Soup du Jour is worthy of your attention.
