While a few stumbling blocks were acceptable in the first episode, Homestar Ruiner, one would assume that developer Telltale has learned from that, which they seemed to judging from the wonderfully made Strong Badia the Free. When Baddest of the Bands was released a bit later in the month compared to the previous two episodes, I figured that the extra time would result in an even better episode. Sadly, that isn’t the case.
Having said that, Baddest of the Bands is still entertaining to play. The Strong Bad Abuse achievements are hilarious (comprised of him getting electrocuted by various malfunctioning appliances and Strong Sad), as are the wacky costumes he can model in the photo booth. It’s still a decent game at $8.95 for the PC version. I do hope though, that the next installment, Dangeresque 3:The Criminal Projective, will truly improve upon Strong Badia the Free, or at least be equal in burninating awesomeness.
