The Deep Impact perk is a must on this map since there are plenty of wooden walls to briefly hide behind and Last Stand, Juggernaut and Stopping Power are all pluses on this map as well. For those who like playing the role of the sniper, there really isn’t too much of an option for that here. There is a tower in the center of the map, however actually getting up the ladder to the top is usually an exercise in futility. Shotguns and assault rifles are a good choice as well as submachine guns that are powerful at close range like the scorpion or Mini-Uzi.

Chinatown

There’s trouble going down in this Chinatown. With its night time sky, bright building lights, and rainy atmosphere, this map is tight playing where those who take the higher ground usually come out on top.

The map consists mainly of buildings, apartments and stores, where each has two floors and plenty of windows for players to take pot shots out of. Windows lead to rooftops and many of the buildings have two or more entry points into them. Picking a window and shooting from it will have you biting the dirt in no time, but moving from location to location while staying above your enemies is the key to winning here.

Depending on your style of play, assault rifles do well, as do shotguns for the closed in corridors. Carrying the Martyrdom perk on this map is not all that bad of idea as well for some cheap extra frags in the tight stairwells and small rooms. There are plenty of cars scattered around the city streets as well that can make players think twice before rushing out and running past them as well as a mounted machine gun in a window that will mow down any player who doesn’t keep his head up.

Broadcast

Easily the largest of the new maps, this takes the location of the television station in the single player mission, Charlie Don’t Surf and opens it up. Although modified for multiplayer, the map still contains the large war room, which was hard as hell in the single player game and allows players to take the fight both inside and outside the station.

Varying with large, wide open spaces and smaller tighter corridors, the map mixes things up quite a bit. With multiple levels to run around on, there is plenty of room and is ideal for the Ground War mode. Domination sets up the flags in good positions, all of which are difficult to defend and capture, especially the one smack dab in the center of the war room.
