Fallout: New Vegas Announced
New title in the Fallout 3 universe
Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Author: Jeff McAllister

Good news for the fans of Fallout as Bethesda has confirmed a new title in the franchise. Not an expansion as Operation Anchorage or The Pitt, but rather a full title called Fallout: New Vegas. The title is in development along with Obsidian Entertainment, who are known for consisting of ex-Black Isles staffers and the developers of Star War: Knights of the Old Republic II.

"It is not a sequel to Fallout 3," said Bethesda's Pete Hines. "It's simply another Fallout game in that universe."

Although not much is known about the game as of yet, New Vegas is scheduled to be released for the 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC sometime next year.
