Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 has reached more than one million paid downloads during its first weekend of availability of August 6th-9th on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network.

"The support and enthusiasm from the Call of Duty: World at War online community is tremendous," said Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch. "The team is appreciative that so many players from around the world have continued to enjoy the game and all of the downloadable content that we have produced."

That’s a whole lot of buying going on and definitely paving the way of what we can expect to see when Modern Warfare 2 rolls out in a couple months. The three map packs are available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points and on the PlayStation Store for the PS3 for $9.99, incase you are one of the million, like myself, who haven’t downloaded them yet.
