SEGA has confirmed that new downloadable content for Valkyria Chronicles on the PlayStation 3 will be available for download through the PlayStation Store starting on 25th February 2010.

The new content, “Challenges of the Edy Detachment,” will contain six new maps to play through, with each map designed for the different soldier classes within Edy’s team. Whether you’re a Scout, Lancer or Shocktrooper, you’ll be able to use the skills of each class to fight your way through various battles.

If I knew more about Valkyria Chronicles I would add my own input, but sadly, this is one title I have not had the chance to pick up yet, but now that there is some extra content involved, it may be the perfect time to finally check it out.
