The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment (MADE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of video games with the construction of a museum in San Francisco. This won't be your average hoity-toity establishment though. One of MADE's core beliefs is that, "All exhibits should be playable: games are to be played, not viewed from afar or watched on video."

According to MADE's mission statement, which can be viewed here : "For the first few years of existence, the MADE will be a small venue which will produce traveling exhibits, hold social events, and display a modest but varying collection of antique and relevant artifacts. Through donations from videogame companies, universities, art institutions and private donors, the MADE will strive to construct a financial foundation upon which to build a world-class art museum. That means finding a location in San Francisco, hopefully near the existing SF Museum of Modern Art and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. "

MADE is currently seeking volunteers to fill a variety of roles and accepting pledges at Kickstarter.com . I wish MADE all the best, even if San Francisco wouldn't be my first choice, you know, with it's history of devastating earthquakes and all. Just saying.
