Get out the tissues Street Fighter fans, because it appears that Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will never see a console release. As reported by Andriasang , Producer Yoshinori Ono dropped the bomb in the newest issue of Weekly Famitsu.

The Arcade Edition features new EX moves, Yung and Yang of Street Fighter III, and introduces Oni and Evil Ryu. The latter characters are intentionally overpowered, raising concerns about player-balance that Ono cites as a direct reason for the lack of a port.

This isn't to say that the four characters won't be offered down the line as DLC. After all, do you really want to buy yet another edition of Street Fighter so soon after the last?
