While the video game sequel to Metro 2033 was announced last year, mediocre sales left many fans wondering if the post-apocalyptic FPS was left to die in the fallout.

THQ confirms that the sequel is still alive, is coming in 2012, and is being renamed to Metro 2033: Last Light.

Metro 2033 came highly recommended by numerous people at GameShark, myself included, and still stands as one of the most unique and underappreciated games of 2010. Pick it up when you have the chance.
