VirginGaming.com says that it is growing at a rapid rate, as evidenced in today's announcement that it has passed the one million member milestone. To date, over $7 million in cash prizes have been awarded; over four million game challenges have been issued and registered members are spending an average of 72 minutes per visit logged onto VirginGaming.com. These numbers, they say, continue to increase daily as more publishers integrate the Virgin Gaming platform into their franchises.

"We knew we were on to something and that our service had significant potential, we just didn't realize it would take off as quickly as it did," said Rob Segal, CEO of Virgin Gaming. "Our team continues to evolve the experience on a daily basis, and user feedback has been a key component in our upgrades. The responses have been resoundingly insightful and positive, so we’re very excited for our current direction and what the future holds, including the expansion of the biggest and best tournaments for mobile and social games.”

“I think the value proposition of the Virgin Gaming platform has been resonating with our partners, and has been a critical component to our success this past year,” said Billy Levy, President and Co-Founder of Virgin Gaming. “We’re pleased to have publishers and retailers like PlayStation, EASPORTS, 2KSports, Ubisoft and GameStop supporting our vision of online competitive gaming.”

The current tournament is the Challenge Series, played exclusively on the PlayStation 3, where players worldwide are competing in EA SPORTS Madden NFL 12, NHL 12 and FIFA 12 for a chance to win over $1-million in cash and prizes. Players can sign up now to compete online for their shot at winning a seat at the live finals in New York this April.
