Once the rail session was complete, Ratchet landed upside-down in a small arena with two levels. The boss battle continued with Ratchet firing a barrage of bullets that naturally angered the gargantuan robot into destroying the first level. With that tier gone, Allgeier was forced to drop Ratchet to the second level and take on the boss in close quarters. Complementing his own attacks, the boss unleashed a squad of rolling robots that possess saw blades on their backs with which to slice Ratchet. Allgeier was quick to deploy his Groovitron to distract the buzz ball foes and go in for a quick hit on their boss.
There's a lot planned for the fifth installemnt from weapon and armor custominzation to piloting Ratchet's ship and even though this version harkens back to the light-hearted spirit of the earlier games in the series (and yes, Clank is back as a playable character), it doesn't look like it'll give up on the hard-hitting action, either. Of course this is all based on a staged demo and we’re excited to get a closer, more personalized look at the final product. Expect more details when we go fully hands-on with an extended demonstration of Tools of Destruction at E3 in July.
