Resident Evil 5 Preview
Following in bloody footsteps, the fifth game of the series has some tricks of its own up its sleeve.

Our time with Resident Evil 5 was over all too quickly as the game was cut off before we could see what happens as our boats made it towards a new area upriver. Still, it did give us a pretty solid grasp of how the co-operative mechanics will play out. While survivor horror is traditionally a lonely experience, having a buddy cover your back is a nice change of pace, and much of the game seems to have been designed with this in mind. It will be interesting to see how the dynamic plays out from start to finish, but if nothing else, we were shown that downing zombies with a friend is likely going to make things a lot more interesting.
