WET places you in the role of a mercenary named Rubi Malone, voiced by Eliza Dushku, whose guns, sword and bad attitude are all the company she needs on her bloody travels. Rubi takes on a job, set up by organized crime lord William Ackers, to bring back his son from Hong Kong where he has fallen in with drug dealing mobsters. Once Rubi tracks down Trevor Ackers and returns him home, the story goes off on an unexpected path.

As you make your way from the Boneyard (your home base) to Hong Kong and then eventually to London, you face off against innumerable enemies who think you are a dainty woman and thus easy prey. These enemies are nothing more sword and bullet fodder as you make your way through the gymnastically laid out environments found in each area.

Rubi has one fatal flaw in her quest to be the ultimate bad ass and that is that it is near impossible for her to stand still and shoot an enemy. Doing so seems as difficult as it would be for a one armed person to clap, but when she jumps into the air or slides on her knees along the ground, all bets are off and she is a killing machine. She’s like the Sundance Kid – she’s better when she moves.

While having her lunge and dive around is enjoyable and interesting for a while, not being able to take out a lone enemy in the distance without having to jump or slide towards them gets a little annoying. When there are plenty of enemies around, it’s an old fashioned murdering rampage, as when she does her fancy footwork, time slows down and Rubi will automatically target one enemy, allowing you to target a second with the crosshairs of your chosen weapon.
