Romancing SaGa Preview
Will Square Enix's latest title in the SaGa series finally grab the attention of North American gamers enthralled with Final Fantasy? Read on.

The SaGa series has yet to attract the attention of the North American console RPG fan that has fallen in love with Final Fantasy and countless other Japanese RPGs. Square Enix hopes to remedy that problem with this reinvented RPG, and we think they are on the right track in succeeding. Romancing SaGa may use the classic SNES title as its base source material, but the team working on the game is borrowing liberally from other titles to provide a world and a combat system that should appeal to the hardcore turn-based RPG fan here in the United States. Romancing SaGa offers some old school RPG fun, coupled with a fully 3D world and an art style that isn't a carbon copy of every other game coming out of Japan. Romancing SaGa is a game worth checking out when it is released in October here in North America. In the meantime check out these brand new screenshots !
