Attack on Pearl Harbor Preview
Forget the friendly skies—CDV preps for take off with this action-packed shooter.

The game doesn't carry the Games for Windows branding, but expect similar features. Upon starting the game, you can choose from three configurations: traditional keyboard and mouse, Xbox 360 controller, and even a joystick. As expected, the keyboard and mouse offered the most precision; on the other hand, the Xbox 360 controller was well suited to the arcade-style action. Flying around with a joystick was an interesting experience considering that fewer and fewer titles support the devices anymore, yet it performed equally well as the other configurations.

Attack on Pearl Harbor is a refreshing departure from the company’s lineup of complex strategy games; this is certainly more of an action shoot 'em up than it is a real similation of Pacific War dogfighting. We'll see how it all comes together in short order as the game is set to ship in July.
