What happens in Vegas...

Complementing your party endeavors, gambling serves as the hallmark activity of any trip to Vegas. Currently, the game comes with three games, although more are being considered: blackjack, Texas hold 'em, and slots. You're able to play the card games fair and square, but the real fun is in cheating. Pressing the B button clues you into what cards are in play and the chances of winning a hand. A suspicion meter keeps tabs of the pit boss's awareness, which is important to watch so as to not get caught red-handed. Every casino on the strip entertains these three games, although the players sitting down at the tables vary. Gamblers at the fancy Eclipse hotel naturally differ from those hoping to earn winning at the Mayan.

Getting to do all of these things is pretty cool, but the incredibly stylish presentation makes the experience all the more entertaining. Colorful, highly-detailed graphics bring this fictitious version of Vegas to life. Details and little special effects like flourishes accompanying each punch that radiate hearts and spades give it a distinct look. The fantastic designs for each hotel lining the strip range from the massive Mayan step pyramid to the cheesy Big Top to sleek and stylish Eclipse. We're eager to get a look at the game in all its free-roaming glory to see how well it runs and to explore each of the hotels, casinos, and off-strip locales. Midway is promising to show more over the summer, which means to expect more details during E3 on what could be one of the year's biggest surprises.
