E3 2008: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky Preview
GSC casts you as a mercenary S.T.A.L.K.E.R, so you can get a better grip on the alternate post-Chernobyl scenario.
Date: Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Author: Troy S. Goodfellow

The same attention to local detail is there. One village is designed as a 1950s Soviet suburban village, complete with a deserted and rusted playground. The overgrown bushes and abandoned Russian made vehicles make everything appropriately creepy. They have even included a ballistic missile radar, scaled down in size so as not to dwarf the entire region – the sole admission of fudging reality that I could get.

GSC is enthusiastic about the future of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R world. Though they have other unannounced projects in development, this is a world they feel they can keep expanding, both geographically and thematically. Though not surprised by their success with S.T.A.L.K.E.R, they feel they owe a duty to the fans and critics who championed their game that was so long in development.

Clear Sky is scheduled to arrive in stores in late August.
