Confronting a hive of Pacifican creepers--spider-like enemies that burrow underground and jump up to launch lightning-fast attacks--Jet could easily lob a spike grenade to hurl himself up for a good sniping angle. Since the effects of terrain deformation can be countered by enemy arms, you can prevent the spike from being reversed by freezing the terrain with the ALM-37 gun.

Not only does it prevent deformation of the targeted terrain, but it also freezes anything in the area, which includes any enemies. In the opposite approach is the catapult where a round is shot into the ground that can be later detonated.

Complementing the terrain deforming weapons are more destructive firearms including the vortex gun that unleashes a funnel cloud to suck up enemies. After a few seconds spinning in the whirlwind, everything in the tornado gets flung away as it dissipates. There's also the powerful black widow grenade launcher that fires off up to six grenades that can be be detonated remotely.

With weapons like these, Fracture will certainly strike a chord as one of the more entertaining action game coming this fall. Multiplayer is in the works, which should provide some serious thrills given the cool weaponry on hand. Expect more details to come as we near the game's release before year's end.
