Aion: Tower of Eternity Preview
We take a look at NCSoft's next MMO
Date: Wednesday, January 14th, 2009
Author: Toni Dimayuga

During the demo, I picked a Gladiator character and tested her aerial abilities. Overall, control was very smooth. I weaved in between trees, flew as high as possible then swooped down close to the ground. I did find however, that there’s a significant delay of a few seconds in opening up and closing your wings, which means that you may not always be able to quickly fly out of a sticky situation. Still, I think it’s a great feature.

While it may still have some kinks to work out and it’s too early to predict gamers’ responses to it, Aion: Tower of Eternity so far seems poised to follow in the successful footsteps of other NCsoft MMOs like Guild Wars and City of Heroes.
