About
Many of the dungeons are straight forward and the directions are how to reach the end of them only. If there is a valuable treasure chest on a certain level then directions will be given to get there, but not every treasure chest and box on the level. Below each dungeon name will be the name of the enemies that will appear in the dungeon and the field along with what element is need to defeat them the quickest. The dungeons included in this walkthrough are those needed to get through the game. Side quests such as the Goblin Tag games are not listed.
In the Beginning
First things first, when you start the game that you will need to check all your e-mail, check the forums for new posts and read your news. When you do, you will get a few key words for your word list of places to go.
When you are ready and have checked all the new messages, log into the world and take a trip around the shops picking up anything you might need, such as health potions and some weapons. When you are satisfied that you have everything that you will need, meet up with your buddy Black Rose and add her to your party and go through the chaos gate.
Chosen Hopeless Nothingness
Enemies:
Cursed Blades - Physical attacks
Mantis - Fire
Metal Goblin - Wood
When you enter the dungeon there will be a short scene that plays out about how Black Rose notices that Kite's bracelet doesn't glow. This means that there are no enemies around. Yay! Make your way through the dungeon and down the 4 levels. For the first level take the first left and then head north to reach the stairs to level B2. From here go straight north to reach level B3. Make your way along taking your first left and heading north into a small hallway. Go right along the long passage and head north to the doorway on your right to reach B4. After Rose and Kite have a discussion about how scared they are, keep running along to your right and head north through 2 more large rooms. Go left, north and then down the staircase when you reach the last room. When you hit B5, head straight along the passage until you reach the dead end. After a short scene with your old acquaintance Balmung return to the surface and to Dun Lioreag.
Soft Solitary Tri Pansy
Enemies:
Guardian - Wood
Heavy Metal - Darkness
Mad Grass - Earth
Thousand trees - Earth
Water Witch - Fire
When you enter, make your way south one room, east and then a quick north. Follow the path along as it swings to the right and then heads north along a long field to some stairs heading down. Here you will enter the dungeon and find some kids gathered around who want you to bring a letter to Miss Gardenia. You try to refuse but finally agree to do it. Make your way north until you run into Gardenia. After you talk to her she runs away and you will continue after her as you go down the stairs in front of you. When you reach B2 make your way north, right, north, left and finally north again to run into Gardenia again. She still refuses to take the letter and runs of again. Follow her down the stairs to B3.
Again, make your way north, right, north, and then left until you come to a passage way leading north again. When you enter here you will run into Gardenia again, but of course she runs away down the stairs behind her. Follow her down to B4 where you will come to a large circular room with passages on each side. Head for the passage on the far north and you will come across Gardenia fighting a Guardian. After you help her defeat the Guardian she lets you add her to your member list and teleports away.
Back In Town
When you are back in town, you are confronted by a shopkeeper who tells you that they are replacing the Book of Law that was given to you in .Hack//Infection with a new book, The Book of Absolute, because the old one didn't work. Well lucky you because neither does this one. Do what you need to do in town (i.e.: sell stuff, feed grunties) and you will get a mail notification. Log out and you will have a few new messages. There is one letter from Gardenia requesting your presence and another from an unknown person about the people in comas and a possible cure. You are asked to come to Soaring Sky Bounded Abyss and the word is added to your list.
Soaring Sky Bounded Abyss
Enemies:
None
Head there through the chaos gate and you will immediately be confronted by Lios, the systems administrator. He is determined to delete your character profile but Helba steps in and stops him. As they continue to talk, Helba gets Lios to spare Kite and you are returned to town.
Beautiful Someone's Treasure Gem
Enemies:
Menhir - Darkness
Dark Witch - Thunder
Phantom Wing - Physical Attack
When you reach the dungeon head down the stairs and make your way north until you reach the stairs going down. Keep heading north until you hit the end and make a left. Go until you come to a large room and a portal. Take care of the baddies in here and continue going north along the corridor to the stairs. Make your way to the right following the passage to the end. When you reach the end of the passage way, make your way to the north, all the way to the statue and the treasure chest. In here you will find what Gardenia was after and you will teleport back to town after the two of you exchange words.
Back In Town
When you are back in town, log out and check your messages and forums again. There will be a message from Lios that says there are two more servers open and that he will be in the World posing as a shop keeper. Now that you can reach the other servers there are a few more key words that you can reach now. If you want you can go and explore them. They will really help building up Kites levels and gain him some more items but that's about it. They don't really have any real bearing on the story line.
Discover Primitive Touchstone
Enemies:
Mad Grass - Earth
Deadly moth - Physical Attack
Chicken Hand - Earth
Magical Goblin - Water
Sword of Chaos - Physical Attack
Cadet Valkyrie - Earth
Make your way south past the Spring of Myst to enter the dungeon. Just about every room in this dungeon has a portal in it, but these monsters are the easiest around so it should be a breeze to get through. As you enter and head through the first room, you will enter a circular room with exits on each side. Make your way to the left side and into the large room there. Head north and down the stairs. Go north when you reach B2 and veer off to the left through the angled passage way. Keep going left until you reach the first northern passage in the next room. Follow it along all the way up the long hallway to the stairs at the end. Continue your way north through these long hallways until you reach the end. Go to the right and follow the hallway as far as you can south and go right at the first chance.
Take the stairs down to B4 and continue going west until you come to the second large room. From here make your way north and follow the passage all the way around right and then south and finally west where the stairs will be. Continue deeper and deeper in the dungeon going west, south and then west again through two large rooms. From here you can simply follow the passage way north as it winds around going to the east and eventually south to a statue treasure chest that contains some grand armor and a grunt doll. Teleport out when you are done exploring anything you may have missed.
Raging Passionate Melody
Enemies:
Dust Curse - Physical Attacks
Shield man - Thunder
Rock Head - Wood
As you enter this rather short dungeon, Natsume will be there waiting for you to tell you what a big chicken she is. She says she tried to get the Spiral edge but couldn't make it through. After you are done talking to her go make your way north and take the first turn to the west. Follow the corridor down around to the south to the stairs. Continue going south until you reach the end of the hall. Start your way east and eventually north to the stairs when you get to the end. Make your way up the passage going north until you come to a split in the path. Follow the left hand side and it will take you to the statue treasure that holds the Spiral Edge. When you get it, you will be teleported back to the beginning where you will talk to Natsume again. When you give her the sword she offers herself to you and is added to your members list.
Hideous Destroyer's Far Thunder
Enemies:
Thousand Trees - Earth
Red Wyrm - Water
Head due west to reach the dungeon from the field. Enter the dungeon and you will run into Sanjuro who tells you the place is not worth investigating since all the treasure boxes are full of junk. Well since we aren't going to listen to him and this is where the Kotetsu sword supposedly is, head into the dungeon through the door behind him. Make your way north down the long hallway and make a let at the end to get to the stairs.
Continue going east trough two rooms and then heading north up a very long hallway to the stairs at the end. Keep going north as you descend the stairs until you come to a 4 way room. Make your way west and follow the angled hall around until you reach the treasure statue. When you grab the sword and candy you will be back at the beginning where Sanjuro is waiting. Give him the sword and he will give you his member address and a Tolerance book.
Back In Town
Head to the Chaos gate and go to the Lambda server and find the weapon shop that Lios is working in. After talking to him, he gives you Virus Core P and tells you of new messages on the forums. Being pretty easy to figure out what to do next, log out and read the forums. After you are done reading all the new messages you will have 4 new key words of places to go.
When you have read all the new forum messages, you will receive an e-mail notification. Head back to your desktop and read it. One will be from Gardenia. She will need your help at Quiet Oblivious Cabbage and one will be from Helba with a list of Virus Cores that you can get from various creatures. Come back to this e-mail later on when you are trying to enter a protected area but are missing a Virus Core. Exit your mail program and jump back into the world. It's time for some action!
The 5 keywords listed can be done is any order that you choose to do them.
Quiet Oblivious Cabbage:
Enemies:
Armor Evil - Physical attack
Hackberry King - Earth
Iron ball Mania - Wood
Skate Rat Ark - Water
Specter - Thunder
This dungeon has a mixture of enemy elements but the Specters are probably the toughest of the bunch. Make sure you have a weapon that has a Thunder attack on it or it will be very difficult getting through here. Head into the dungeon and north and into a 4 way room. Go to the right twice and north to the stairs. On B2, make your way directly north where you will find the only portal on this level. After you pass it continue north to the next set of stairs where you will run into a familiar face. Moonstone appears again and leaves just as fast as before. On B3 keep heading north and make a right at the room with the second portal.
Through here you will find a statue and its treasure for the looting. When you grab the items out of it head back to the main corridor and continue north where you will encounter a not so friendly guy called a Skate Rat Ark. This guy looks like he is surfing on a coffin and can do some hefty damage to you. Keep one person back to heal while the other two bash way at it. Use Water skills to defeat him a lot quicker. After he is beaten you will receive a Crystal Stone and a scene starts to play. Gardenia is her usually prissy self and leaves.
Collapsed Pagan Remains:
Enemies:
Death Crane - Earth
Grand Cold - Fire
Hysteria - Thunder
Smiley Ray - Fire
Specter - Thunder
When you enter the dungeon here, you will find Rachel, a spunky little player character is holding a trading session. Around her will be other players who are looking to make some trades. As luck would have it, they all have what each other wants except for one person. This person wants the Love Archery which is at the end of the dungeon. Of course you are such a nice guy, you are going to go and get it for them.
Make your way north and head right at the first opportunity. From this small room go north, let and north again to the stairs down. You won't run into any portals unless you go to the two rooms at the far left or right of the dungeon. When you reach the second B2 make your way north, right and north again. Grab the treasures along the way and go left and north again twice to the stairs to B3. So far you haven't had to run into any portals but here you will. As you enter the next room you will open a portal and a Grand Cold will appear. Use any Fire attacks you have to defeat it and move on to the next room. Through here you will open another portal, so repeat what you just did and take the passage to your right when you are done.
In here will be a statue and the Love Archery. When you get it you will be sent back to Rachel and the top of the dungeon so you may want to explore the dungeon in full before getting it. When you are back talking with Rachel, she can't remember who wanted what so it is your job to trade items with everyone here. Each person will say what they want and refuse if you give them the wrong item so making a mistake is impossible.
Lightless Distant Dead Lands:
Enemies:
Mu Guardian - Wood
Mystery Rock - Wood
Phoenix Queen - Earth
Tetra Armor - Darkness
A post from Nuke Usagimaru says that he will be having a show here in this dungeon. When you enter it, a few people will be gathered around him but they leave one by one as Nuke starts his speech. When he is done and you are the only one left, he says his show will be put on at B3 and he will be waiting there.
Make you way through the dungeon making sure you have an attack that works for Earth, Wood and Thunder. For the first level of the dungeon head north, left and north again to the stairs to B2. You will run into some Mu Guardians and Mystery Rocks that you should use wood attacks on. Use Darkness attacks for the Tetra Armors and you should have no problems.
On B2, head north, right and north again to reach the stairs to B3. Before you go down them, a person named Moonstone appears and disappears. Although these dungeon summaries will tell you fastest way through each level, feel free to explore the dungeons all you like and fight everyone you come across to open the portals and snag the treasure boxes along the way. When you are on B3, you can take your time to explore for treasure since there are no monsters. Head north and take the second passage on the right. Grab the treasure boxes here and head north, right and finally north again into a large room.
In here you will find Nuke and his "show". After a scene you will jump into battle with him and help him defeat a Pumpkin King. To beat the Pumpkin king easily now and for each time later on in the game you run into them, use a thunder based attack to make short work of them. When the battle is over, he joins your members list and you can add him to your party.
Dolorous Evil Eyed Widow:
Enemies:
Mu Guardian - Wood
Mystery Rock - Wood
Phoenix Queen - Earth
Red Scissors - Fire
Tetra Armor - Darkness
Gate Hack:
Virus Core P
From the messages on the forums there seems to be a ghost girl of sorts in this area. This area is also a protected area and one that Lios wants you to investigate. Use the P Virus Core that Lios gave you to Gate Hack into this dungeon. The enemies that appear in this dungeon should seem familiar if you have already gone through Lightless Distant Dead Lands and you can just use the same tactics to beat them.
Enter the dungeon and make your way north, left, then north and finally left again. Take out the portal here, and head south to get to the stairs down. When you enter B2, grab the treasures in this first room and head south. Take out the portal monsters in here and head right to another one that is waiting for you. Make your way north after you deal with the baddies there to reach the last set of stairs down. When you reach B3, make your way north to the doorway with purple smoke swirling in front of it. This means a big bad boss is waiting for you in there.
Boss:
Mu Guardian
To take out this lightweight, have a wood element skill prepared and get ready to bash the guardian non-stop with it. Have one of your team hang back casting health while the third member of your party helps you knocking down the Mu Guardian.
When you knock it down enough to Data Drain it, do so. After you hit it, it turns into a regular Mu Guardian that you should have no problem disposing of. After it is defeated the party talks a bit and Elk and Mia get their Aromatic Grass and head back to town.
Back In Town
Back in town, do what you need to do. Sell any items you don't need or are useless to other members of your party. Stock up on health potions, Mage's Soul and whatever else you want to pick up and then go and check your mail and forums. There will be a new post on the forum about another protected area called Nameless Seeker's Prairie. By this time you should have yourself a very good weapon. If you can find a set of Slayers or trade for one, I would definitely suggest that or getting a set of Yosetu & Fuyou.
Nameless Seeker's Prairie
Enemies:
Death Crane - Earth
Great Sled Dog - Water
Hysteria - Darkness
Phalanx - Darkness
Smiley ray - Fire
Gate Hack:
Virus Core B (2)
Take along who ever like for this quest, preferably a heavy blade and a wave master such as Black Rose and Elk. To enter this protected area you will need to have 2 Virus Core B in your possession. If you don't having to track them down can be a pain in the ass. You will need to head back to the other servers and data drain some low level creatures to get them. After you Gate Hack into the area, find the dungeon which is right near where you enter. When you are inside, make your way directly north through two rooms until you reach the stairs down.
Again make your way north one room and head right when you reach the 4 way intersection. Go north after you have gone through the two rooms to the left and dealt with the Great Sled Dogs that appear there. Grab the treasure and head down the stairs. Make your way north and to the right to the final room with the purple smoke in front of the door way indicating a big bad is here. When you enter the next room you run into Sheraton, a character who seems as though he is missing some of his body. He is squaring off against another Data Bug like the Mu Guardian you fought previously.
Boss:
Scorpioid
Join the battle and start attacking Scorpioid with any fire skills you have. If you have the Slayers then use Twin Dragons attack on it while your wave master stays back to heal everyone. Data Drain him as soon as you get the chance to receive the Virus core N and to make him much easier to kill. Keep using the same attacks and he won't last long. After the battle, Sheraton is less than thankful for your help and goes off on his merry way after exchanging a few words with you.
Back In Town
Again, just like every other time you come back to town, sell what you don't need and stock up on things that you do need. You will have some new mail waiting for you back on your desktop, so log out and go check it. It will be a message from Lios asking about the protected area and what happened. Log back into the world and Lios will be there waiting for you. After a cut scene where Lios tells Kite what Sheraton was and why it was in a protected area. After he leaves, you get another mail alert. Log back out and check your mail to get another key word, Resurrecting Confused Judgment, from Lios and another mail from Black Rose.
Resurrecting Confused Judgment
Enemies:
Green Wyrm - Earth
Hackberry King - Wood
Hysteria - Darkness
Metal Eraser - Wood
Skate Rat Ark - Water
Specter - Thunder
Gate Hack:
Virus Core M (2), E, D
The monsters in this dungeon can be pretty tough but the boss at the end is by far the toughest yet. I recommend bringing a wave master and Moonstone along for the ride. Once inside the dungeon a cut scene starts giving you a glimpse of the battle coming up. Make your way north 2 room until you reach a 4 way intersection. Go right and then north again to the stairs. You can scout out the entire level here grabbing all the treasure there is to take, since there are no portals that pose any danger to you.
When you reach B2 Kite attacks the monster that keeps appearing again, head north through two rooms and go left dealing with two portals along the way. Make your way north, right and north again fighting through two more portals. Go down the stairs to level B3. Make your way through this last level, battling each of the 4 portals you come across. There are no side rooms off the main path so follow the passage to the end where you will find the purple smoke in front of the exit.
As you enter, the Boss Innis will appear again but this time he sticks around for the battle. Although Innis is probably the worst looking boss in a game ever, he can hand out some hefty damage to you and your party.
Boss:
Innis
Like most battles have your wave master stay back and deal out the healing. There will be lots of it going on so keep your eyes open for low stats. Have Moonstone and Kite attack innis with any physical attacks and not scrolls. Innis is magic resistant and only takes damage dealt to him from weapons. As you whittle away his life Innis will attack with some nasty moves. One of which is Invisible Dolls. He will create 3 monsters and send them flying towards you.
Each one does about 300 damage and can wipe you out if you are not quick with the healing. He does have other attacks such as Thunder and Demon Fire which can hurt for about 250 each but you will notice he uses Vision of Self the most which acts like Data drain and gives you an abnormal status. After you have been working him for a little bit you will hit his Protect Break and be able to Data Drain him. Do so and you will receive Segment 1 and he will be a mere shell of his former self. He will be harder to hit now, but he only has 3000 health. Keep attacking him with Kite and Moonstone with the wave master healing and you will eventually defeat him. It can be a rather long and drawn out battle but in the end you will walk away with a big smile knowing you kicked his badly designed ass!
Back In Town
Once again, just like every other time you come back to town, sell what you don't need and stock up on things that you do need. Feed your grunty and do some trading with other characters if you choose. When you head back to the Chaos Gate, Lios is there waiting for you. He gives you a big speech about the servers and orders you not to do anything else. Log out and check your e-mail to find 2 new messages. One is from BlackRose telling you her thoughts about Lios and one is from Aura which leaves you with a new key word, Merciless Grieving Furnace.
As you head back into town, Mistral will be waiting for you beside the portal. He and his funny looking hat want to go with you on your next outing. Since you already did your shopping and trading there is no reason to do so now. Besides if you did, you would notice that none of the people in town care to trade with you. Grab another party member, I prefer Moonstone a lot of the time, and head into the Chaos Gate.
Merciless Grieving Furnace
Enemies:
Armor Evil - Physical Attacks
Hackberry King - Earth
Ironball Mania - Wood
Valkyrie - Earth
Voodoo Goblin - Water
When you enter the field, make your way north to the dungeon entrance. Go down the stairs and make your way north and to the right. Follow the room around, exit to the right and head south. Keep going along the curve and exit through the door there to keep going south. In here will be a portal to deal with. After you take care of it keep following the passage along until you reach the stairs. As you enter B2 there are a few treasure chests lying around. Loot them for all they are worth and head directly north past the portal to the stairs. Go through B3 the same as you just did B2 by just making your way directly north to the doorway with the purple flames and get ready for a doozy of a fight.
Boss:
Cubia
Cubia can be a total pain in the ass if you let him be. I'll tell you right now that this battle can be very long and sometime very difficult if you don't keep focused on what you are doing. Cubia himself is off to the side and watches the battle so you can't actually attack him, but you do attack his "Core" which defeats him. Cubia switches back and forth from being physically tolerant to magically tolerant. Each time he switches he sends out 5-6 Gomoras that are like sentries to cover him. There will be one Repth Gomora that heals Cubia very often and a mixture of Varius Gomoras, Downer Gomora's and Kill Gomora's. Your first target every time should be the Repth Gomora. Kill him so that he cannot heal Cubia when you start to attack him.
After you kill the Repth Gomora, start on the Kill Gomoras since they do the most damage to you. When you have defeated all of the Gomora's that Cubia sends out, he attacks your party and switches to the opposite tolerant. He starts off being tolerant to physical attacks, so when the Gomoras are all dead he switches to Magic tolerant. This is when you can cause your most damage to him. Have Kite and Moonstone gang up on the Repth Gomora and take it out as fast as you can. When it is gone you can either take out one or two more Gomoras or turn your attention to the Cubia Core itself. Kite and Moonstone can do some hefty damage to him with their twin blades and eventually Cubia will send away his Gomoras and switch back to the other tolerant status.
When he does, repeat your tactic by taking out the Repth Gomora quickly not allowing him to heal Cubia. If you don't want to waste spells on the Cubia Core, then kill the rest of the Gomoras to have Cubia switch back to being magic tolerant and able to be hurt physically. Each time Cubia switches tolerant he attacks the party as a whole. This can cause some major damage and if not careful, wipe out your entire party. Always stay healed when you think he is going to switch and attack. He has 3 main attacks, Legions Reach, Ark Bullet and the very deadly Megiddo Flame. Each attack does about 300 points damage but the Megiddo Flame gets two shots at you.
As always have your wave master stay back and always healing. Throw some Mage Souls into him when he needs it and keep your physical attacks up with Kite and Moonstone on the Repth Gomora and Cubia Core. Eventually the Cubia core's health will drop from 5000 to zero and you will be victorious!
After the battle Helba decides to show up again and has a few words with you.
Back In Town
When you warp back in to town, mistral gives her thanks and gives you a book of Forest Lore which raises your wood element by 2. As usual, do what you need to do in town and you will eventually receive an e-mail alert. Log out when you are done shopping and trading to go read it. You will have a few new mails, which give you new key words. Piros wants you to come to Shapeless haunted Holy Ground, Sanjuro wants Kite to help him at Bitter Hot-Blooded Sand Trap and Natsume is off to find the level 10 vine.
Check the forums after you have checked your mail and you will get key word Stalking Silent Footstep from a guy named Marlo who is challenging you and Bottom less Hopeless Footsteps where there is a supposed level 10 vine that will increase your level by 10 when you kill it. Log back into the world and grab a party.
Bottomless Hopeless Footsteps
Enemies:
Hackberry King - Earth
King Snakoid - Water
Mummy Scissors - Earth
Orochi - Wood
Pumpkin King - Thunder
Voodoo Goblin - Water
As you enter the dungeon make your way north through two rooms. Each room will contain a portal for you to deal with. Go east through two rooms and south to the stairs. Go south and then to the right where you will into another portal. Grab the treasure and make your way west, then north, west and north again to reach the stairs down to B3. Make your way north to the first portal. After you defeat the monsters make your way east and then north to a treasure chest. Again go to the east to grab a lot of good treasure from the statue in there.
After you get your goodies head back into the main corridor and continue heading north the way you were. Follow the corridor around to the left when you reach the end and head north in the next room. When you enter you will run into Natusme who is fighting a Hackberry King. As other dungeons, jump into the battle to help and it will be defeated in no time flat. After the battle she will tell you that she was looking for the vine but couldn't find it. Kite will have a few words with her and everyone will teleport back to town.
Bitter Hot-Blooded Sand Trap
Enemies:
King Snakoid - Water
Orochi - Water
Pumpkin King - Thunder
These dungeons are some of the longest corridors yet but thankfully there aren't a lot of portals on each level. Make your way north and then west to a room with a chest. Make your way south through three rooms, the last of which will hold a portal. Go down the stairs around the corner to B2. Go east and around the corner leading to the north and a very large room with a portal in the center. If you head east you can follow the hallways around to two separate rooms that are filled with treasure chests. Make your way back through the large room to the west and follow the passage around to the stairs.
Make your way south until you come to a monster portal in a room the bends around to the left. Head through that room into the next two where you will come to a 4 way intersection. Make your way north into the room with the large statue and treasure chest. Inside the chest will be the sword that Sanjuro is looking for and will ask for it. When you give it to him, he will repay you with a twin blade weapon called Blades of Bond which is one kick ass weapon. Head back to town when you are done any exploring you care to do.
Shapeless Haunted Holy Ground
Enemies:
Headless King - Thunder
Killer Box - Physical Attacks
Mummy Scissors - Earth
Sand Hill - Wood
Star Fish - Fire
Voodoo Goblin - Water
Since this is the dungeon that Piros want you to come to and witness his revenge on Mia you need to bring him along in the party. Grab a wave master such as Elk and head on your way. Upon entering the dungeon make your way north through a long room with a portal to the stairs down. When you reach B2, go north one room and then make your way to the right. From here make your way north to the end of the passage where you find the stairs at the end. On B3 you can just head directly north to reach Mia but if you want to loot the statue treasure chest first head right at the 4 way intersection. At the far north end will be a large room where Mia will be. Go in there and Piros will start his exchange of words with Mia. After Mia plays another trick on Piros, head back to town.
Stalking Silent Footstep
Enemies:
Great Sled Dog - Water
Headless King - Thunder
King Snakoid - Water
Valkyrie - Earth
Voodoo Goblin - Water
This is the dungeon where Marlo from the forums was calling out Kite to. Since you were told to come alone, you cannot bring any other party members with you. Run across the field to the dungeon entrance and go on in. As you enter you stumble across Marlo talking with 2 other players. These two are Moderators of the World and aren't happy about Marlo calling out Kite. After they exchange words, Marlo heads off into the dungeon and you can start going after him. To get to the stairs all you need to do is head due north and you will come to them. B2 is a little bit longer than B1 was. Make your way south and then to the left where you will square off with a portal.
Head south through two treasure filled rooms and make a right to another portal in a very large room. When it is dealt with, continue along going due south to get to the stairs. Make your way north to a monster filled room with a few chests inside it. From here make your way left as far as you can go to reach a statue with a treasure chest full of goodies. After you grab the goods, make you way back along the corridor you came from and head north until you finally come to a large room with Marlo fighting a Hades Hound. It isn't too difficult to deal with, but keep an eye on your health since you have no wave master to heal you. After it is defeated Marlo has a few words with you and you can now add him to your party list. Head back to town and follow your usual routine of selling and buying what you do and don't need.
Back In Town
After you have finished each of those dungeons you will get an e-mail notification. Log off and go to your desktop to check it out. Among the e-mails will be one from BlackRose. She lets you know that the forums are back online and that you should go check them out. Exit the mail and go to the forums and read the new messages. When there are no more new messages log back into the world and Black Rose will be there waiting for you. When you are done talking to her, log back out again and there will be more new messages on the forum. After reading the messages you will have a new keyword to explore. When you exit the forum you get a new mail alert. Go check your mail and you will get another keyword: Dying Madness Haunted Land.
Rejecting Oblivious Wavemaster
Enemies:
King Snakoid - Water
Mummy Scissors - Earth
Orochi - Wood
Pumpkin King - Thunder
To enter this dungeon you will need to switch over to a different server that has been neglected for most of the game. Enter the dungeon from the field and head north to the first portal. After defeating it make your way to the left and then south. As you fight through 2 more portals on your way down you will come to a room that angles to the right. The next room is a very large room with a portal. Go north from this room to find the stairs. As you enter B2 follow the same path that you took for B1. Head north and take a left. Go south through the very long room to the stairs at the far end. B3 is a very short level and only one portal. Follow the corridor around until you reach the large room containing the next portal. Beat up on the monsters here and get your loot in the next room from the chest in front of the statue. After you grab your goodies, a woman will appear behind you. She will hand you a sword before she leaves which you can give to Black Rose. After she leaves follow her cue and head back to town.
Dying Madness Haunted Land
Enemies:
Killer Box - Physical Attacks
King Snakoid - Water
Mummy Scissors - Earth
Star Fish - Fire
Voodoo Goblin - Water
Gate Hack:
Virus Core N, B (2), F, D
To enter this next dungeon you need to Gate Hack it since it is a protected area. This one takes a bit more Virus Cores then the previous ones have. You will need a Virus core N, 2 Virus Core B's, Virus Core F and a Virus Core D. You will want to Data drain enemies every once in awhile when on missions since having to track down a Virus Core that you may be missing really really sucks. If you do need to grab some Virus Cores remember to check back to the e-mail you got from Helba to know where to get what Cores. As you enter the field it is a little different than past areas. The field is laid out as the dungeons are and is sectioned off into rooms and hallways like a dungeon, just like the dungeon where you met Gardenia was. Head south until you come to a 4 way intersection. If you head north you will come to a Spring of the Myst, south will be a Piney Apple waiting to be picked and west will be the stairs to enter the actual dungeon.
Make your way directly north through two portals to reach the stairs that will take you to B2. Being equally as easy to get through, head north through 2 portals and head right to another portal and the stairs down. Make you way right along the hallways as you follow it around north and to the left. When you reach the end you will enter a room with birdcages. After you hear a voice you will receive Epitaph 1 and Balmung will enter the room. After a short exchange of words between Kite and Balmung, you are teleported back to town.
Back In Town
Again, as usual, do all the buying and selling that you need to do while you are doing that, you will get an e-mail alert. When you are ready, log off to your desktop and check them to find a few messages waiting for you. One will be from Lios being his normal jerk of a self and one from BlackRose about a Wiseman. When you are done you will have a new key word to check out.
Dazzling Sage Artic
Enemies:
Big Eyes - Fire
Druid Witch - Earth
Franken - Thunder
Moonlighter - Physical Attacks
Starving Ogre - Wood
Upon entering the dungeon, you start exploring by making your way north and then going left. This dungeon is a rather long one so buckle down for some long fights and many of them. The worst of the enemies will be the Moonlighters. These giant fly's are tough customers and have no elemental weaknesses. From this large room, start going north again and follow the passage all the way around as it swings to the right. There are five portals along this corridor so make sure you have the proper supplies to handle it. When you reach the end take the stairs down. B2 is just about the same length and difficulty as B1 was having six portals from the beginning of the level to the stairs. Make your way north until you reach your first right.
Follow the passage around north, right, north and finally to the left. At the end of the passage set off south for some treasure chests and north to reach the stairs. When you enter B3 you can head due north to reach the Wiseman but before you do, take a turn down the passage to the left. Down there will be a Statue with a treasure chest that holds the Devil Helm. Head back to the main corridor and continue going north. When you enter the large room at the end, you will talk to the Wiseman about the Epitaph of Twilight and he tells you that he will tell you what you want for a price. When you finish the conversation with Wiseman, you are teleported back to town.
Back In Town
Do what you need to in town and eventually you will receive an e-mail alert. Log off and check your mail to find a message from Wiseman. He says that he will trade the information you want for a sword that he wants. He tells you where the sword is and expects you to bring it to him.
Blooming Promised Walkway
Enemies:
Big Eyes - Fire
Dalaigon - Water
Grand electric - Darkness
Ironball Titan - Darkness
Temple knight - Earth
Gate Hack:
Virus Core E (3), F (2), D (2)
To enter this area you will need to Gate Hack it again since it is a protected area. Hopefully you have been data draining monsters because you need a lot of Virus Cores to enter. You will need 3 Virus Core E's and Virus Core D and F's. Once you are in the field, either head for the Spring of Myst or make your way directly to the dungeon. By this time you should have another twin blade weapon such as Mikazuchi or Bom-ba-ye to go along with the Blades of Bond that can be upgraded to a much better weapon in the spring. As you enter the dungeon make your way north and to the left at the last room.
Continue on to a portal and then make your way south through 3 more rooms to find the stairs at the end. Follow the corridor along B2 since there are no side rooms to get deviated from the main route. Take care of the three portals along the way to the stairs that are waiting for you at the end. When you reach B3 you will notice the purple flames in front of the next doorway. Yep there is a big baddie in the next room so get prepared. Make sure Kite has a Darkness attack and have your wave master ready with the healing.
As you enter, the battle with the Dalaigon begins. Have your party start the attack while Kite goes the rear of the beast to attack from there. If Kite has darkness attacks, which you better hope he does, then this battle won't last long at all. Keep your Wavemaster healing and Black Rose distracting the monster up front. When the Protection breaks hit him with a data drain and continue bashing him with darkness attacks until he falls. You will receive a Virus Core O for the drain and the Spark Sword for the defeat of him.
Dazzling Sage Artic
Enemies:
Big Eyes - Fire
Druid Witch - Earth
Franken - Thunder
Moonlighter - Physical Attacks
Starving Ogre - Wood
To give the Spark Sword to Wiseman you need to return to where you found him the first time. Follow the same path to get there again since nothing will have changed in the dungeon. When you eventually reach the large room where Wiseman is waiting for you he exchanges a few words with you and tells you the real reason why he wanted you to grab the sword. After you add him to your party list, the Spark Sword is yours again and you can give it to Black Rose to put to use. Head back to town for the familiar preparations and e-mail alert.
Back In Town
When you receive the e-mail alert, log off and go check it out. There will be a message from Wiseman waiting for you where he quotes a verse from the Epitaph of Twilight. There will be some familiar names in the verse, mainly bosses that you have already fought. After you read the mail there is not much else to do to log back in and check out the forums. There will be quite a few new messages but only one new Key word.
Scattering Fossils Milestone
Enemies:
Ark Prince - Water
Dark horse - Thunder
Grand Electric - Darkness
Headhunt Lord _ Thunder
Inferno - Water
Sphinx Menhir - Darkness
When you log back into the world Black Rose will be waiting for you at the Chaos Gate. Since you are forced to bring her along you only need to pick your wave master and head off for the dungeon. As you enter, make your way north until you come to the end. From there go right and then north again into the small room that contains the stairs. Every room on this level has a portal in it so be prepared for some heavy fighting the entire way to the stairs. Make your way north, then left and then north all the way to the end.
Grab the treasure from the small room and head through the door. The next room will be a circular shape but you want to make your way to the northern doorway. Continue on to the 4 way intersection and hang a left to get to the treasure chest at the statue. Collect your goodies and make your way back out to the main passage and keep heading north. When you enter the large room here you will run into another character that is like Sheraton. His body seems to be lacking any substance and also seems to be rather confused. Through his garbled talk you get a key word and a little info about a net slum.
Back In Town
As you enter the town again Balmung will be there waiting for you. After the exchange of a few words he hands you over Virus Core Q and goes on his merry way.
Pulsating Worst Core
Enemies:
Ark Prince - Water
Dalaigon - Thunder
Harpy Queen - Earth
House Golem - Wood
Mad Witch - Wood
Squidbod - Darkness
Gate Hack:
Virus Core Q, O, E (3), F (3)
Grab you wave master and Black Rose and enter the chaos gate. When you reach the field Black Rose tries the spell but to no avail. Before you reach the dungeon, you are really going to want to prepare for it. It is five levels instead of the normal three and contains a lot more monsters then usual. The first level has a little trick to it that BlackRose tries to figure out but gets a little frustrated doing so. To get past the first level follow Black Rose's instructions and go that direction. For the first room make your way east. Then continue on following Black Roses words, north, south, west and finally north again to where you will come to the stairs. Now the tough levels start to show up.
B2 has a portal in just about every room so be prepared after each battle. Make your way around the corridor until you come to a right turn. Follow it all the way to the end and head north. At the end of this corridor the stair case will be on your right side. As you enter B3 there are a lot of treasure chests in the first room. Gather them all up and continue out the door to the left. Follow the hallway all the way to the second large room. From here, make your way south through the angled room into another very large room. Go south again to reach the stairs to B4.
Being one of the longest dungeons in the game B4 is pretty straight forward and holds 4 portals which you will have no choice but to encounter. Follow the corridor north and along the angled hallway to the right. Continue on going south as far as you can and then start making your way west. Make your way through two more rooms and you will finally reach the stairs to B5.
B5 is a nice easy level and thankfully the last dungeon of the game. Go south through the two portals to reach the dreadful purple flames. When you enter the next room you are alone in the bright white room with a wooden structure. As Kite and Black Rose exchange words, the party is teleported off to a run down city street.
Net Slums
As you look around you will see some rather interesting characters. There are six of them in total and you need to go and talk to each one. When you reach the last one, a fellow named Tartarga appears and has a few words with you about Helba and the Epitaph of Twilight. Like clockwork, Helba suddenly appears and joins in the conversation. She gives Kite Haralds Note 2 and starts to tell Kite about Harald's history when some old friends show up. Balmung and Lios appear out of no where with many other characters. As the conversation starts to turn for the worst the world begins to go crazy. It starts to shake and go out of control as the final Boss shows up.
Boss:
Magus
As Magus flies into view you will notice that it looks pretty much like a ball on the end of a twig with leaves on it. As Magus floats along the ground he will drop these "leaves" all over the place. Each leaf has a counter that counts down from 15. When the counter hits zero on one leaf, Magus flies up into the air and however many leaves are left on the ground will explode. As long as you can deal with the leaves he drops quickly then you will be able to defeat Magus with a little patience. After you destroy every leaf on the ground run over to Magus and start wailing on him.
Let him have everything you have until he flies back up into the air and hits you with one of his attacks. Usually if you destroyed all the leaves his attack will be Light of Purity where he nails the party with beams of light. Have your wave master set to be healing everyone and it shouldn't be a problem. Another one of his attacks is the Data drain which hits you will just about every abnormal status there is. It is easily overcome with restorative potions and antidotes. As you make your way around the screen killing the leaves make sure you keep an eye on Magus.
If you have Black Rose attacking Magus while you take out the leaves, she may hit his protect break and you could possibly miss it. When you do finally hit his Protect Break, you can Data Drain him for Virus Core U and a much easier enemy to deal with. Since the wimpier version of Magus doesn't drop his leaves anymore, have Kite and BlackRose up front and in Magus' face to start kicking his ass fast. Magus can still attack by slamming into the ground which takes about 400 health off you each hit. Keep healed and keep attacking and you will eventually destroy him.
Back In Town
Now that you have defeated the final boss of the game, you can go check your e-mail to receive a few last messages. There will be one from Wiseman and one will be from Rika where he gives you a keyword for an optional area that can accessed now using the Virus Core you got from Magus. Save your game now and it will be ready to be carried over to the next installment of .hack when it comes out. Also if you so choose to, you can return to many of the dungeons you have already been to and build up your characters levels and hunt for more treasures.
