Level One
The Magic Box
Being as how this is the standard first level/tutorial mission, it really isn't all that difficult to beat and mainly just gives you the main run through of the controls and actions to use. You start as Buffy and the magic box is under attack after everyone splits up to find Tara and Anya. As the action starts a few vamps will run in one at a time. Deal with them easily enough until a cut scene starts. After the scene you are now in charge of Willow. Grab the med kit to the right and then make your way down the ladder. Grab some stakes from behind the ladder and some holy water and health from the shelves on the left. Make your way behind the counter and grab the key beside the door. Next make your way to the closed desk by the front door. Once you open it with the key, you now need to cast the sun spell.
Do so and 3 vamps will run in to fight you one at a time. Defeat them and a scene will start with Buffy. Next up you are in the training room and in control of Xander. Grab the crossbow from the counter on the right and equip it to make short work of these vamps. In front of the wall with the door will be a battle ax that you can pick up and use as well. Take out the vamps and a scene will start with Spike in the basement. Take out the two vamps and grab the sword from the table. After the vamps, some zombies jump out and need to be chopped up. Enter the next room and take out the vamps there and the zombies that appear afterwards. Again, enter the next room and repeat the same thing.
When they are dead, grab the relic from the left side shelf and the hell fire from the right. Turn around and use the relic on the statue behind you and it will open a secret passage between the two bookshelves. Grab the baseball bat and med kit from the room. Make your way to the table blocking the door and smash it to pieces and walk through the next small room to the next room that has Tara and Anya in a cell. Kill the vamps that enter and grab the key they drop. Open the cell and talk to Tara and Anya. After their chat, you are back to being Buffy and back up stairs. Clean out the remaining vamps with the help of Willow and another scene will start between Buffy and a vamp about Kakistos to end the level.
Level Two
Sunny Dale Cemetery
Well it sure didn't take long for Buffy to hit the cemetery. As soon as you enter you are greeted by a little old friend. After you chat to him about Kakistos you are back in control. A few zombies will bust out of the ground and come over to say hi. Kill them as they appear and then make your way to the crypt on the right side of the cemetery directly across from the large iron gate. Enter and grab the piece of the sundial on the right side of the room. Kill the zombie in here and you will notice that the door is closed to get out. Pull the statue back to the pressure plate by the coffin and the door will stay open. Make your way to the far right corner of the cemetery and hop up on the coffin in front of the window.
Break the window and jump inside. Kill the three zombies that appear and grab the health and holy water from the shelf. Make your way out the door into the next area of the cemetery. Head out in to the open area and enter the first crypt on the left. Grab the second piece of the sundial and kill the zombie. Exit back out into the cemetery and head for the stairs at the far end. Before going up them, open the door to the crypt on the right to grab some goodies of each variety. Next go back to the stairs and open the large doors to enter the next area. When you enter there is a podium directly in front of you. When you have all three sundial pieces this is where you'll put them. Head to the right side of the church and kill the zombies that appear. When they are dead, grab the third piece of the sundial behind the headstones.
Place all three pieces on the sundial and the door a crypt in the previous area will open. Head back through the large doors and down the stairs to the first crypt on the right. Enter and kill the two zombies and pick up the key they drop. Make your way back to the church and open the door using the key. Head down the hallway and enter through the next set of doors to a large room. Kill 6 vamps that enter and a large bad ass vamp will enter. Kill him and his buddy and then grab the goodies from behind the altar before going down the stairs through the door the big vamp just broke open. Make your way down the stairs and follow them killing the vamps and spiders along the way. Smash through the door at the bottom of the stairs and again through the next one. Some zombies will attack in the next hallway as you make your way around to the far left to find some boxes that hold more stakes.
Smash through the next door and you will enter a room where 6 zombies will come out of the walls. When they are dead, pull the handle on the left side of the room and pull the block out. Jump on it and then jump up to grab the ledge above you. Walk to the end and smash through the door to a ladder. Climb down and go to the right into the tunnel with two large creatures. Kill them by staking them and enter the large green circular room. Make your way to the tunnel on the other side and make a right. In here you will find a ladder that is impassible because of steam and two more creatures. Kill them and smash open the boxes. Grab the valve handle and make your way to the pressure valve that is in front of the tunnel to the left of the tunnel you first came through. Turn it and the steam atop the ladder will stop. Go back to tunnel where you got the valve handle and climb up. Kill the zombies and make your way to the left of the ladder and a creature will bust through the wall.
Kill him and smash the boxes to grab some med kits from there and the room he came out of. Continue through the room and you will see a fuse panel and power switch on the left wall. You need to place a fuse in there and then pull the lever when there is power. Make your way through the opening in the fence on the right and something will hit the wall. Knock the wall down where the bricks fell out and go through. Kill the creature and make your way to the left in the circular room until you come to the fuse box on the wall. Open it and take the fuse out and make your way back to the fuse panel in the first room through the hole in the wall. Place it in the panel and pull the switch to turn the bridge power on. Make your way back to the green circular room and go to the right this time. Pull the lever and the bridge will turn. Make your way across and kill the creature around the right corner.
Climb up the ladder and kill the zombies in the crypt up top. Make your way out the door and you will be greeted by a rush of vampires and zombies. After you have put the hurt on all of them make your way to the crypt on the left with the eagle statue beside the door. Turn the eagles head and the side of the crypt will open. Enter and kill the zombie while you smash open the pots. Grab the key from the pot near the door and head over to the back hoe on the other side of the graveyard. Pull the lever on the rear of it and it will fire up knocking a hole in the wall. Head through and follow the room to the door. Exit the crypt and kill the vamps that run up the stairs to beat you. Make your way down the stairs and around to the coffin on the right beside the crypt. Jump on it and jump over to the roof of the crypt.
Smash through the roof and drop in on the zombies below. Kill the 6 of them and grab the torch from the wall after they are toast. Use it on the fire in the middle of the room to ignite it and then use it on the spider web covering the door way. Follow the dark hallway around until you come to a room with a coffin and an iron gate on the right. Place the torch in the holder beside the door and the gate will open. Head up the stairs and you will run into Kakistos. After the scene with him, start killing all the zombies that appear but stay near the glowing orb. Spike will be at the far end to deal with the zombies there. Eventually the orb will start to turn reddish and can be hurt. When it can, start wailing on it and destroy it.
Level Three
Blood Factory
After the scene between Willow and Tara, you are in control of Xander the wimpy. From the start, the first thing you need to do is turn off the conveyor belt to the right by pressing the red button. Do so and the girl will hop and some vamps will attack. When they are dead, go around to the other side of the blood machine and smash open the boards covering the doorway to rescue the prisoner. When you do another larger vamp enters. Kill him without letting him hurt the prisoner. After he is toast go through the door to the left of where you started. Kill the creepy spider in here and go through the next door into a larger room with two more vamps. Kill them and punch the blue lockers to open them.
Grab the cross bow inside and the quiver of bolts to the left of it. Smash open the boarded up doorways at either end of the room and kill the vamp that appears afterwards. Go through the next door and you will come to a room with an electric fence on the left side. Equip the crossbow and shoot the control box high above on the far wall with the flashing green light. When you shoot it the power to the fence goes off and you can climb over. Near the box, atop the fence will be a missing section of fencing that you can climb. Grab it and pull up, jumping down at the other end on the other side. Kill the vamp that runs in and grab the stake from the box in the corner if you need it. Enter the door and kill two more vamp as you go around the corner to another boarded up door way.
Smash through to rescue the prisoner and he will give you a key. Grab the med kit and go through the door on the left side of the room. Go to the right in this passageway and you will run into some vamps and spiders. Take them out and make your way around the corner to find a body with a lighter. Grab it and head back around the corner to enter the door on the left. Head up the stairs there and you will find the super soaker water gun and a holy water ammo. Make your way back down and smash open the wooden prison door. Kill the vamp inside and pull the filing cabinet in the corner back to enter another small area with more spiders and vamps. Enter the door beside the garbage can in the corner and kill the spider.
Turn the valve handle on the pipe and some gas will start to spew forth. Walk up to the gas and use the lighter to blow a hole in the wall. Pass through the hole and enter the door on the right. When you enter the next room some vamps will attack. Kill them and you will see through the fence a girl in a cage and a vamp walking around. There is a red button on your side of the fence that will open the cage. Don't press it yet since the vamp will get her. Go out the door on the right and follow the hall down to the next door on the left. Enter and kill the vamp. Smash open the boarded up door way to release a prison and make your way back to the red button. Press it and exit through the door to the hallway again to end Xanders part of the mission.
Next up is Willow. This part of the mission can be a little difficult until you get the homing missile spell. Walk to the end of the hall and kill the few vamps that show up. Grab the stake from the box on the left to make life a little easier. When you have killed the vamps, go through the door around the left corner and enter a large warehouse. When you take a few steps forward, some vamps will show up to have a good time. Kill them and make your way to the right corner beside the large door. Behind some barrels there will be the cross bow. Grab it and head back to where you entered the room. On the left when you entered there where same large shipping containers. Jump up on the middle one and Willow will grab the edge and pull up. Go left and jump again and will do it again.
Hop over to the top of the container to the right and climb up on top of another container. When you are up here, three vamps will start to come up. Use the fire spell to knock them back down before they get a chance to get close to you. When they are no more, jump across to grab the edge of the walkway and pull yourself up. Continue to follow the walkway down the stairs and into a control room. Enter it and pull the lever on the wall to lift a container on the floor away from a door way. Make your way out of the room and continue down the stairs to the floor. When you reach the ground, go into the door that is now revealed. Kill the vamp inside and pull the lever on the wall to open the cages and let out the prisoner. Head back out into the main warehouse and go to the right and open the door with the blood tracks in front of it.
A scene will play and Tara and Willow have a chit chat. When the scene is done, go through the door make a left to go towards a platform and a forklift to take on some more vamps. Dust the vamps and then use the lever on the back of the forklift to raise the box on the forks. Get up on the platform and jump over to the box grabbing the edge of it. Pull up and enter the door on the left. When you go through you now have the homing missile spell. Drop down to the floor and some vamps will attack. Run away from them to stay ahead a bit and then use the homing spell and it will kill all the vamps in range. Continue to do that until they are all dead. Hop up on the truck in the middle of the room in between the cab and the trailer. Jump from there to the top of the cab and then back to the top of the trailer to grab some hellfire and a stake. Make your way back down and over to the conveyor belt of boxes.
Press the red stop button by the flashing green light to stop the belt. Hop up on the boxes beside you and grab the ledge of the opening up above. Follow the corridor to the right and drop through the hole in the floor to land in an office full of spiders and a vamp. Kill them all and grab the keycard off the floor. Head through the door and grab the med kit from the shelf to the left of the door. Take out the vamp and go through the door on the left. As you can see in this room, there is a big pool of blood that Willow doesn't want to get near. Head back out of the room and use the keycard on the panel on the fence to the left of the door. Open it up and head through the hallway. Kill the three vamps that rush you and take a look around the room. There are two glass capsules but only the right side one has valves.
Turn all the valves except the middle one and the siren and lights will start to go off. Kill the vamp that shows up and head back to the blood pool. Now that the pool is empty, climb down the ladder and back up the next ladder to the door there. Enter it and you will come to a small storage room with a few spiders. Kill them and head through the next door to enter a change room of sorts and to gain the shield spell. Kill the vamps and knock open the locker in here to find some goodies. The middle locker on the right side of the room holds a keycard. Grab it and head for the door at the far left end of the room. Enter it and there will be a keypad on the wall next to the door and a med kit. Use the card on the pad to open the door and grab the kit before opening the door. Head through and you will be ready for the show down with Ethan. To defeat Ethan all you need to do is stand in front of Tara and keep your shield spell up as you cast homing missile to help Tara kill the vamps.
Level Four
The Magic Box
After a friendly visit from Kakistos, some vamps will rush you. You need to hurry and kick their asses and get to Giles. Smack the vamps around until no more show up. Head out the back door behind the counter and make your way to the square white floor on the left side. You will fall through and find Giles there. He will tell you that he needs his book from the top floor of the magic box to find out how to defeat the gargoyles on the other side of the bars. Climb back up the ladder and head back into the magic box. Go to the ladder to climb to the small bookshelf where Willow had started earlier on. Some vamps will jump down from there but you are a tough chick, you can take them. After they are dead, climb up and grab the book.
Hop back down and make your way back to where Giles is down the hole. A scene will play where you give him the book and he says that Gorgon venom will be what is needed to kill the gargoyles. Easy enough since there are a few pots of glowing and colorful gorgon venom around the shop except using the wrong one will make the gargoyles more powerful. You need to find something gargoylish and try it out on each pot of venom until you find the right one. Make your way back into the shop and all the way down to the basement where the relic statue was that Spike had used to open the secret passage earlier on. Beside the door will be a treasure chest that holds a gargoyles claw. Open the chest, grab the claw and make your way all the way back upstairs. The pot of venom that you want is the green pot across from the counter and cash register.
Use the claw on it and then use a stake on it. Make your way out the door and into the pit with Giles and the gargoyles. Make sure you equip the gorgon venom stake before entering the cell and fighting the gargoyles. To beat them just slap them around and stake them like you do vamps. When they are dead you need to get Giles back upstairs safely. He will follow you as you walk though the house killing the vamps along the way. In the first room from leaving the gargoyle room there is a chest on the ground to your left. Open it and grab the med kit form inside. Don't let any vamps get to Giles and eventually you will reach the bottom of the stairs to finish the level.
Level Five
Downtown Sunny Dale
After the long scene between the gang and Giles and then the next scene between Ethan and Buffy, you are downtown Sunny Dale on the street. Head forward and grab the stake from the corner to the left. Keep going forward and take out all the vamps that come your way. As you come to the end of the street, there is a movie theater on the right hand side. Enter it and follow the hallway around to the next set of doors that lead to the lobby. A vamp will come running down th e stairs behind the counter and attack. Kill him and head up the stairs. Make a left turn around the corner and three vamps will attack.
Take them out and enter the first door on the right. Inside this room will be a medi pack to the left, a fuse on the lighted shelf and a hell-fire ammo in the corner beside a blue box. Grab them all and head back out into the hall way and continue going to the right. Enter the room there and you will have a chat with Willow. Seems she has the keycard you need to open the door she is locked behind, so instead of her sliding the key under the door, you need to go around to an open window so she can drop it. Sure. Grab the movie ticket on the desk to the left and make your way all the way back down to the turnstile at the bottom of the stairs. Use the ticket and the doors will pop open and let you pass through. Head to the end of the hall and take a right to the doors there. When you go through, you will be in a bathroom with 2 more vamps. Kill them and then smash the window.
Hop out the window and directly across form you will be a water pump. We'll come back to that later. Make a left and follow it around the corner, through the opening in the fence and down the manhole cover to the sewer. Kill the two creatures down here and go down the sewer to the right of the ladder. Make a left at the first tunnel and there will be a spark plug on the ground. Pick it up and enter the door with the green light above it. Inside will be a large pool of green slime just like the blood pool earlier on. Head back up the ladder and use the spark plug on the water pump machine. When it fires up, head back down into the sewer and climb down the ladder it to the slime pool and back up the other side and out the other side. When you climb up, Willow will drop the car for you. Grab the pitch fork off the ground and use it to smash the lock off the locked gate.
Head through the now open door and climb back in the window. Make your way all the way back up the stairs and to the last room where Willow was. Use the swipe key on the panel and open the door. After the scene Willow is transported back to the magic box and you are off to find the other three. Exit the theater through the front door and you will see a truck straight ahead smashed into a wall. Go to the other side of the truck and there will be a red button near the back of the truck to push. Do so and the back doors will open. Hop in and follow the trailer to the front where there is a hole on the right side to exit through. Now that you are inside the building, open the door and it will take you out to an alley.
Follow the alley around to the right and enter the last door on the right to Willy's. Enter the pool hall and make a left to find Spike at the bar. Use the teleport stuff on him and back to the magic box he goes. Across from where Spike was, there is a pinball machine. Smash open the crate beside it and you will get a lot of hell-fire and stakes. Make your way to the pool table to grab the cue and out the door to the left of the table. When you are back outside, there is a fence to your left that is locked. Smash the lock and head through to the street. Make your way left and you will come to a shipping dock for trucks. You will see a panel with a red button in between the doors. Jump up to it and use the fuse on it. When you do, press the red button and the bay door will open allowing you to enter the warehouse.
Kill the vamps and Buffy will note that a set of stairs is out and you need to find another way up and of course that's where our pal Xander is. There is another set of stairs that lead up to a control panel but before you go up there, search the group of boxes to the left of where you entered to find a medi kit and a baseball bat. Once you have them, head up the other set of stairs and active the control panel. A handle will slide across the ceiling and you will be able to jump and grab it and hang on as it takes you over to Xander. When you reach him you will give him the juice and back he goes. One left to find. Go back down to the ground and press the red button beside the bay door to open it up. Make your way back to the truck and take a left up the street to another truck that is flipped over.
Go right to the end of this street and you will come to a dumpster on the right side. Get behind it and pull it back far enough that you can jump on top of it and jump to reach the catwalk above it. Do so and break through the boards covering the door. Enter the door and there will be an elevator to your left and a room to your right. When you walk into the room Buffy says it is too dark, so go in the elevator and go down. The right side of the elevator is down and the left side is up. Go down one floor and talk out the vamps here. You can grab the hell-fire soaker from the left room behind the glass. Grab it and head back into the elevator to go down one more floor. As you step off the elevator you are attacked by two more vamps, one of which has a force field that goes off and on. Kill them and grab the flash light and medi kit from the next room.
You may notice that on the wall is a very large vault door, but we'll come back to that. Head back up two floors and use the flash light in the room that was too dark. Make your way to the desk at the far end and there will be the bank vault code on the desk. Pick it up and then make your way back to the elevator, down to floors and to the keypad beside the vault. Open it up and Faith will be there waiting. After you use the juice on her, you need to get back to the Magic Box yourself. So instead of pouring it on yourself you are going to high tail it back there. Take the elevator up one floor and exit through the first door on the right that has the exit sign over it. When you are back on the street, make your way to the Magic Box but you will be stopped by Sid on the way. Talk to him and the mission ends.
Level Six
Sunny Dale Hospital
Well it seems that Sid knows all about the dagger of hope and says that you need to gather the body parts of a woman named Cassandra to bring her back and get the dagger. The gang is off to find the body parts since Sid knows a few places to get parts. First stop is to get her eyes from the morgue in the Sunny Dale hospital for her eyes. When you start the mission it is you and Sid on the move. You need to protect Sid from being killed as you move through the hospital. Grab the stakes around the corner beside the large door or smash the chairs here to grab some. Return to Sid to take out the vamps that are in the room. When they are toast just follow Sid as he opens the doors into the next room. Kill the vamp that comes around the corner and a scene will play as the door to the left of blocked.
Buffy will toss Sid up into the vent and he will drop down on the other side. You need to clear the boxes that are blocking the door. Now that you are in control of Sid, you need to take out a few vamps but with no stakes it can be tricky. Punch and kick them towards the fire burning on the boxes to get rid of them or you can grab a stake by smashing the chair. To clear the blockage, push the oxygen tanks towards the fire. When they are close enough, Sid will run away and the doors are clear. You will now be in control of Buffy again. Before you head through the now clear doors, turn around and go through the boarded up doors to grab a health kit and some stakes. Make your way back to the doors you cleared and meet up with Sid who is standing next to a boarded up doorway.
Smash through and it will take you outside to a courtyard. Sid splits up and goes a different route from you. Make your way right to the ladder in the corner. Take out the two creatures that appear and climb up. Grab the crossbow on the ground and drop through the glass skylights to land in the offices. Take out the many vamps that drop in and grab the keycard off the floor. When all is quiet, go through the door and to the elevator on the left. Go up a floor and then take the first door on the left as soon as you exit the elevator. Take out the vamps here and grab the med kit from the tray. Exit through the door on the left side of the room and you will be out side on a balcony. On the right side of the balcony there will be a section of wall missing.
Stand beside that and face the wall. Jump up to grab the ledge above you and shimmy all the way over to the left as far as you can go. Drop down on the platform there and run over to the open window. Jump up under it and grab the ledge. Pull your self up and into it and some mummies will run in to greet you. Take them out and head all the way to the left end of the hall where the large door is. There is a palm scanner to the right of the door that will unlock it. We'll come back to that later. Enter the door on the right side of the scanner door and grab the water gun on the table. To the left of the water gun is a Projection screen with a door behind it. Raise the screen and enter the next room to find a decapitated body. Grab his hand on the ground next to him and head for the scanner door. Open it and kill the vamp inside. Make a left through the door and you will come to another locked door.
Head back to where you climbed through the window and to the left of the door at the end of the hall will be a fire alarm. Smash it and this locked door will open. Run all the way back down the hall and through the door that is now open. Exit the door and you will be back outside again. There will be a fan in front of you that you will need to jump on top of. When you are on it, jump up and grab the edge of the wall to get onto the roof there. Kill the few bat creatures and mummies that appear and make a running long jump across to the other roof through the part where the small wall is broken away. If you don't make the jump across it is no biggie since you will be going down there to grab the goodies there. Jump down break the box and pick up everything. Climb back up using the ladder, take out the bat creature and enter the door.
Go through the room picking up the crossbow bolts and water gun ammo and out into the hallway. Make your way all the way to the left where the elevator will be stuck between floors. Hop on top of it and punch the cable so they break. The elevator will drop and you will run into Sid on the floor below. Follow him into the room on the left and you will toss him into another vent. Now that you are Sid again, takeout the zombies in the hallway and enter the second door on the right. Kill the zombies that wake up in here and hop through the window on the far wall. Go to the right and there will be a door you can open. Head inside the room there and kill the zombies. Grab the hammer on the floor near the bed and exit through the door back into the hallway where you started.
Kill the pack of zombies that appear and you can now use the hammer to open the doors that are blocked with boards not to mention it does wonder on the zombies knee caps. Run down the hall to the second door on the left. Grab the gas canister and three zombies will barge into the room. Hammer then down and make a left to the end of the hall where the fire is. Equip the gas canister and press R2 and fire the gas at the fire. I can't tell you how long that took me to figure out. Now that you have used the gas on the fire, you can use the gas canister as a flame thrower of sorts. Use the gas canister on the oxygen tanks blocking the door way and they will blow up. Head through the hole, down the hallway, and around the corner to a door. Open it up and you will run into Buffy. After their talk you are back control of Buffy. Use the hand on the door with the palm scanner to the left and head down the stairs.
Go through the doors there and into the small room with some more vamps and zombies to deal with. Kill them and head into the morgue. When you enter, Sid runs over to the files and you need to protect him from the zombies while he looks for the file that says where Cassandra's eyes are. After you have dusted enough zombies Sid will tell you that the eyes are in a jar over there. "There" meaning in front of where he runs over to. Grab the jar and follow Sid out of the room to end the level.
Level Seven
Sunny Dale High School
Now that you are in control of Xander, you are at the high school in search of Cassandra's arm. From the start of this mission you are outside the school and standing on a pentagram. A few vamps and zombies will appear to put a hurting on you. In the far left corner is a shovel and some stakes. Grab them and take care of these annoyances. When they are dead go to the far right side of the school and break through the boards covering the window. Climb in and grab the flashlight off the desk. There is also a note there that says the secret to the demon is hidden in the dark. Funny since you just picked up a flashlight. Anywho, make your way through the room and kill the Bakemono that appear. Once you are out in the hall, go through the door directly across from you to enter Snyder's office.
Kill three more Bakemono and grab the Dictaphone off the desk. In the left corner is a baseball bat and a med kit and a safe is on the right hand wall. Make your way back out into the hallway and go left. When you get to the end of the hallway you will see a huge vine swinging around blocking a doorway. There is a hallway to the left of the vines that will lead to another vine blocking another door and an intercom on the left side of the wall. Use it and the person will ask for the password. Since you don't have it, head to the staircase and take out the S&M looking vamps here. Go up the stairs and down the hall to the right. Enter the first room on the right and it will be very dark in there. Yep, you will be coming back here later. Head out and through the large doors on the right. In the next hallway, the first door on the left is to a computer lab. You'll be coming back here later on as well.
Grab the medi kit and continue down the hall until you reach the room marked the physics lab on the left. Enter it and there will be a UV filter on the desk that you will combine with the flashlight. There is also a huge hole in the floor that you can drop down into for some health and hell fire. Leave the room and go to the right and make a quick left to find a blue locker with some goodies inside. Make your way back down the hall to the dark room and use the flashlight on the white chalk board to have some letters appear. Make your way back down the stairs and use the intercom again. Seems Xander knows the password but can't say it. Head for the room directly left of the intercom beside the vines and use the dictaphone on a computer in there. After the password is recorded use the intercom again and the vines will stop moving.
Head through the door on the right and you will see a force field blocking the way. Enter the first door on the left and you will be in the costume room. Kill the Bakemono in here and use the top hat to pull out a rabbit. Xander will drop it on the pentagram and it will disrupt the force field. For those not who don't remember, Anyaka (Anya) is terrified of rabbits. Make your way out of the room and back to the intercom. When you near it, a big doggy type creature comes through the door to the left and attacks. Kill him and head through those doors yourself. Kill the vamps that show up and enter the science lab on the left. Grab the computer disk, the yellow fluid and the Murgoth gun. When you pick it up, Xander will note on the chalkboard that there is a recipe of sorts saying that yellow + green = blue. Well you just picked up the yellow so I guess just the green is left.
Head back out of the room and make your way back upstairs to the computer lab there to use the computer disk. When you get there and use it, it seems there is a "passcode or something" on it. Make your way back down stairs and to the end of the hall to Snyder's office. Open his safe using the passcode and you will get a key to the library cage. Make your way back out into the hall going left and continue straight though the double doors and into the library on the right. Kill the vamps and Bakemono as you enter. Grab the med kits and stakes lying around the library if you need them and then open the cage. When you enter the cage, use the top hat to pull out another bunny rabbit and drop it on the pentagram. Make your way out the library the way you came in and head straight down the hallway to another set of double doors.
Here you can go left or right. Left will take you to the force field so go to the right which will take you outside. Ahead of you will be a set of double doors at the end of the hall and a staircase to the right with more vines blocking a doorway at the top. This is also a courtyard to the right with a pool of green liquid in the middle. Head through the double doors ahead of you and take out the two chick vamps that attack. When they are dead go into the room on the right and into the room at the end of the hall. Kill the Bakemono in there and grab the fumigation bombs, health packs and shovel in the room. Make your way back out and through the door on the right to enter the basement. Kill the Bakemono here and make your way to the pentagram around the corner on the right. When you pull out a rabbit, it will high tail it through a hole in the wall. Sneaky bastard.
Go to the left corner ahead of you beside the fenced in pipes that are marked "Danger" and turn the valve to create some steam in front of the hole. Pull out another rabbit and it will stay on the pentagram. Make your way back up the stairs and outside to the school courtyard where the green liquid is. Now there will be quite a few zombies creeping around for you to kill. Do so and then use the yellow liquid on the green pool. After you mix them, use the Murgoth gun on the pool of blue liquid to fill it up. Head up the stairs and spray the vines using R2 and attack to kill it. Kill the two vamps that show up and head through the now non protected doors. Enter the door marked "English" on the right and kill the vamp inside. When the vamp is dead, put down another rabbit on the pentagram to help bring down the force field. Head back outside to where you killed the vines and head straight to the double doors at the end of the hallway.
Go through and make your way back downstairs and through the window to the pentagram outside where you started the level. Kill the vamp strolling about and drop a rabbit. When you do, a Bakemono will run out and apparently eat it, although it just swipes at it. Walk off of the pentagram and pull out a rabbit and Xander will drop it on the ground. A Bakemono will run out of his cave to get it and you can kick his little shirtless ass when he comes to get it. When he is dead, go back to the pentagram and drop a rabbit on it and the force field will finally drop. Make your way back inside and down the hallway to where the force field was. Enter the door on the right labeled Gymnasium and prepare for a showdown with Anyanka.
This battle can be very frustrating at best with the very poor item selection menu this game has. What you need to do is run around and drop a rabbit on each of the five pentagrams in the gym. When you have a rabbit on each one Anyanka will drop to the floor and will be able to get hurt. This is when you start laying the smack down on her. Problem is that, when you are fighting her, Bakemono run out from each side and eat the rabbits. When a rabbit is gone, Anyanka gets her power back and flies up again shooting more fire at you. Kill the Bakemono and replace the rabbits they ate and start wailing on Anyanka again. Switching between weapons to beat on Anyanka with and to heal and to drop rabbits is difficult and frustrating. I left the top hat on all the time and just beat Anyanka with normal kicks and punches. After you defeat her, the arm of Cassandra is on the ground. And the level is over.
Level Eight
The Old Quarry
Now you are in control of Faith who seems to handle exactly like Buffy. Behind you in an outhouse that you can open to grab a health kit for the upcoming rush of creatures that will appear. Also grab the stake from the box on the other side of the outhouse. Beat every creature that appears to a pulp and eventually they will stop coming. When no more vamps show up, go to the cave on the left of where you started and grab another med kit on the other side of the rocks. Head back in front of the Dump truck and you can now enter the shack if you had tried to and failed earlier. When you are inside, go to the left of the shelf on the wall and pull it backwards. When you do, you can now break through the wall and head down the tunnel there.
Beat the vamps along the way and make a left when you reach the bottom. When you reach the end of the corridor, Faith will make a comment about not blasting there unless you want a flood. We'll come back here in a few minutes since we do want a flood. Head down the corridor and enter the first room on the left. Take out the vamps inside and in a box in the middle of the room to the right will be some dynamite. Grab it and head back out in to the tunnel continuing your way left all the way to the end. At the end here you will see a rack of barrels on the left and a broken elevator on the right. Pull the lever on the side of the barrel rack and the door will open letting two barrels roll down. Get behind each barrel and push them under the elevator.
When both barrels are under the elevator, run all the way back down to the other end of the tunnel and pull out the dynamite when you look at the sign. It will blow and Faith will run her butt off and do some fancy flips to get on the elevator. The water will raise the barrels and in turn raise the elevator up to the next floor. Head straight down the tunnel and a werewolf will attack. Kill him and enter the first door on the left. In here will be some vamps and zombies and another crate of dynamite. Pick it up and head back out of the room and go straight down the tunnel in front of you to another door on the left. You won't be able to open this door until a big baddie comes through, so keep beating on the zombies and vamps here until he comes through. Once he does, enter and head down the stairs. Keep going down the stairs and you will come to a door with water pouring out the sides.
Ignore it for now and keep going down the stairs. At the bottom you will come to another room will a pillar in the middle of the room. Use the dynamite on it and Faith will run out of the room. Head back up the stairs to the door that had the water pouring out and it will be ok to open now. Go through the room to the door on the other side. Make your way through the opening in the boards and across the bridge to kill a few vamps that run over to greet you. Continue across the bridge and into the next tunnel. When you get to a hallway that goes to the right, a werewolf appears for you to kick it's ass. Do so and you will see a small door at the end of that hallway. You need an emblem to open it, so ignore it for now. Run to the large double doors at the end of the main tunnel. When you go through the door, you will see a large machine on the other side of the room. Kill the vamps and then check out the machine.
Turn the valve handle that is to the right of the open door and then grab a torch off the wall. Throw the torch into the open door and the machine will start up. Now that the machine is going go up the small set of stairs and follow the tracks down the tunnel and to the right. At the end will be a mining cart that has a valve on it. Pull the handle and it will make its way down the tunnel to the end of the tracks. Kill the zombies and meet up with the cart at the machine. Turn the valve on the cart and it will tip over dumping its contents onto the conveyor below. Go to the end of the conveyor belt and you will find the emblem in the pile of coal. Kill the three vamps that show up and head back to the small door that was down the side tunnel.
Use the emblem and the door will open. Head up the stairs and kill the creatures and vamps that show up. Climb up the ladder at the end and go through the door. Now that you are in the Quarry house, make a left down the hall and fight the vamps that jump down from the top of the staircase. When they are dead, grab the med kit under the stairs and head for the door at the end off the hall straight ahead from the stair case. When you enter, two vamps attack. Kill them and Faith will make a note about the floor boards being weak as you can see the huge dip in the floor. If you look up and see the giant chandelier above you, it doesn't take much to guess what will break the boards. Head back out and up the stairs and enter the door at the end of the hall. When you enter there are two vamps and a woman in the room. If you kill the vamps before they kill the woman, you will get a holy water from her.
If she dies, it's of no consequence to you. Grab the lighter off the desk and make your way back down the stairs to the room to the left of the stairs. Enter and use the lighter on the fire place. Head back up to the room where you got the lighter and you will see smoke coming from the wall. Press the stone there and a secret passage opens. Follow it around to the next room and some more vamps will attack. Kill them and grab the wrench from around the bookshelf beside the chair. Use it on the bolt in the centre of the room and the giant chandelier below will crash through the floor. Head back downstairs and into the room at the end of the hall to jump down the hole. Follow the tunnel picking up the med kits along the way until you reach the room at the end for the show down with Kakistos.
Kakistos can be a bit tricky to beat, but as long as you stay away from his fire you should be ok. There are three orbs that he summons. You must destroy the orbs before you can attack him. Also to make things even more fun, there are two zombies creeping around as well. To take care of the zombies, kill one of them totally and hurt the other one enough so that it is crawling along the ground. As long as it is like that no more will show up and he really isn't that much of a threat. As for Kakistos and the orbs, the orbs only need three hits to defeat each of them but you need to hit them when they are dull and calm and not all flashy. Make your way to an orb and hide behind it, keep Kakistos on the far side and the orb between the two of you. When the orb turns calm and dull, whack it and it will turn yellow. Do it again when it is calm the second time and it will go red. The last time will destroy it. Do that to all three orbs and then you can start to haul ass on Kakistos. He isn't any tougher to beat then a vampire once his orbs are gone. Make sure you stay away from the lone crawling zombie so you don't kill him by accident and you should have Kakistos beat in no time flat.
Level Nine
The Initiative
Well now you are playing Spike, it only makes sense that he would be right back in the Initiative complex again. Make your way forward through the doors and you will run into some soldier zombies. Kill them and watch for the explosives they may drop when they die. Hop up on the stack of boxes to the right to find some hell-fire ammo. Hop back down and clear the room out of more soldiers. Hop up on the stack of boxes to the left of the room and follow it up and back over the fence to drop down and find some more goodies. Before you make your way out of the room, Hop on the stack of boxes in the right side of the room in the middle and grab the edge of the walkway above. Shimmy over to the left and drop down on the other side of the fence to grab the hell-fire soaker. Hop up the boxes and jump over the fence and exit through the large doors.
Make your way down the stairs to where a few more soldiers will come out. Kill them and enter the small door on the right. Break open the lockers on each end of the room for some health packs. Use the computer on the desk and you will be able to unlock the large door out in the hallway. Head out there and go through it. Down the corridor here, some large creatures will appear. Kill them and enter the large doors on the left hand side. Kill the vamps in here and make your way around the corner. Spike will hit a laser trip alarm that will release some cyborg bodies from the capsules. Enter the next door and you are not to engage any cyborgs until a way to defeat them is found or else it will be game over, which means, do not trip the lasers that will bring the cyborgs to life. In the centre of the room are a few capsules with cyborgs in them.
Go a few steps to the left and smash the canister on the wall to fill the room with steam. Now you can see where the red laser beams are. Hop over the one to the right and make your way up the stairs and into the door there. Kill the two zombies inside and use the computer to open the door down the hallway you were in earlier. Make your way back out of the cyborg room over the laser beams and through the large door. Make a left and you will be attacked by two more large creatures. Kill them and make you way around the corner to the next large door. Make your way down the stairs and take out the vamps along the way. Enter the next set of doors and you will come to a rather large room with a truck to the left and a few creatures jumping down to say hi. Kill them and if you jump on the back of the truck to use the machine gun.
Spike will comment about needing an ammo clip. Leave this for now and enter the small door at the far end. Make your way through and kill the soldiers inside. There are three lockers around the corner you can open for a medi kit. Continue through the left side of the room and out the opening in the fence to get up the stairs. Go through the doors there and you will be on a catwalk above the room with the truck. Kill the soldiers and head through the door on the other side. In the next hallway there will be a set of stairs going down and a few soldiers to say hello. Kill them and the vamps afterwards and enter the room at the bottom. Go up the stairs on the right and use the computer there to deactivate all the security doors. Head through the doors at the other end of the room and you will be a meeting room of sorts. Use the computer on the table and you will learn how to defeat the cyborgs.
Seems you need to destroy the mainframe computer that they are getting their orders from. Make your way back out and up the stairs. Hop over the railing and drop down into the room with the truck. Exit through the doors that you entered from earlier and follow the stairs up till you reach the door on the left that has a green light above it and a number 2 on the boxes. Take out the two creatures inside and grab the EMP grenades from the box in the corner. Make your way back out and up the next set of stairs. Enter the door on the left and Spike will tell you there are Sentry machine guns that are camera controlled. No problem. Toss an EMP grenade around the corner and it will deactivate the machine guns. Go up the left side of the room and grab the ammo clip. Head back out and make your way down to the truck with the machine gun on it.
Use the machine gun and kill any vamp or soldier that appears. Do so until you are back to full health and then shoot the gas tanks to the left of the door to blow a hole in the wall and a new passage. Hop down off the truck and head through the hole. Kill the two creatures at the end and then go to the left and jump on top of a fuel tank to grab some hell-fire ammo. Head through the door on the right side of the room and go up the stairs to an elevator. Hop in and go for a ride. When the doors open, a cyborg will come at you. Give him a whack or two to slow him down and then enter the cell on the right with a bat creature in there. Grab the severed head on the ground and the bat creature and cyborg will fight each other if you are lucky. If not, kill the bat creature and use the head on the retinal scan for the door at the end of the room. Follow the hallway and you will come to a very large room with a staircase on the right side. A few creatures will attack and after you kill them, a few more.
Grab the health pack under the stairs and go through the door with the green light above it. Go to the end of the hall and climb the ladder to find where all the cyborgs are coming from. Drop down and head to the far left. There will be a computer there to operate and shut down the cyborgs. You will probably need to drop an EMP grenade though to stop any cyborgs from interrupting you. Once they are all deactivated, enter the large door at the end of the room and get ready for the boss show down. To defeat Adam there is really only one way to hurt him and that is to make him hurt himself. There are barrels on the walls that he pulls out and lifts over his head. When he does that, you need to toss an EMP grenade at him and he will drop the barrel on his head hurting himself. Unfortunately he doesn't grab them all that often and you need to stay alive in between each grab.
There are always two zombie soldiers walking around after you which are a good source of life. Kill them when ever you are far enough away from Adam but always keep an eye on where he is. When you see him going for a barrel, get back to him and throw a grenade. Do this five times and he will be defeated. If you happen to run out of grenades which you more then likely will, there are plenty around the area in wooden boxes that you can pick up. When the final barrel bonks him on the head he is dead and the level is complete.
Level Ten
Sunny Dale Mall
Now that you are in the mall, you have control of the almighty Willow. I prefer using Willow over any other character just for the homing missile spell. Make your way to the fountain and grab the stakes on the ground there. Kill any vamps that appear and grab the cooking oil from the hot dog cart. Next make your way around to the boarded up doors of the sports store and enter. Kill the load of vamps that enter and you will get your self a fancy new spell, the possession spell. Use it and the vamp you possess with attack the other vamps. Grab the baseball bat in the change room and grab the med kit from the crates in the change room next to it.
Head through the door at the back of the store and follow it around to a room with a counter on the right and a cage behind that. In the cage will be some gas that is leaking out of some oxygen tanks. Toss some fire in there and it will blow a hole in the wall. Walk through the open cage and through the hole and down the hallway. On the left will be a door marked component store. Directly across from it there will be a chest on the ground that you can open for a med kit. Follow the hallway to the end and out the door to enter the computer store. Grab the shutter key from the counter on the left and make your out the door at the far end. When you exit into the mall, you will get another new spell, the Sonic Blast. Go to the right and use the shutter key on the door with the red light. Now that you are back where you started, head up the escalator and make your way to the right. Inside the small hallway there is a door to the security office.
Grab the dictaphone off the table and use the computer to try and open the doors. Willow says the network is toast and if she can find a modem she may be able to fix it. Head back out and make your way to the left to another door with a red light. Open it up and you will be in another part of the mall. Go along the right side and enter the bookstore. Once in side, head to the right side of the store and you will have a scene of a vamp coming through the ceiling. Kill him and then push the ladder on the bookshelf over so it is under the hole Climb up the ladder and up into the hole. Head over to the corner through the fence to the red light on the machinery. Willow will use the cooking oil on it and it will bring the elevator back to life. Make your way back down and move the ladder all the way over to the left. There is another hole in the ceiling you can climb into to grab some health and other goodies. Hop down from there and grab the credit card off the counter on your way out of the store.
Make a left and head back through the door to the other part of the mall. Go along the left side and use the elevator. It will come up and there will be a body inside that has a broken key. Grab it and make your way over to the key shop. Hop over the counter when you are inside and look at the wall of keys on the right. Willow will grab a key that has the same number as the broken key. Head back down stairs by hopping over the railing. Thank goodness no one gets hurt from high falls in this game. Head over to the ATM and use the credit card to get some cash. Make your way back up the escalator and through the door to the bank which is located across from the book store. Try to open the door to the left of the bank and a voice will tell you it wants money to give you information. Give him what you have and he will say it's not enough.
Leave for now and enter the bank. When you enter you will need to put your Dictaphone in the box to the left. Walk through the metal detectors and pick it up again. Hop over the counter and grab the medi kit of the small table. Kill the vamps and then make a right down the hall through the door. Continue through the next door and kill the two vamps in the office before they kill the girl. She will give you some hell-fire for your troubles. Use the computer and Willow will use the dictaphone to use voice recognition on the computer to open the cage door you passed earlier. Head back out and make a left to go through that door that is now open and grab the cash off the tray. Make your way back out into the mall and go back to the door beside the bank and give the cash to the person behind the door. He will give you a key to the store room in the computer store.
Make your way all the way back down to the computer store and through the back door on the left to the components store room. Grab the modem off the shelf and I bet you know where you're going next! Make your way back up the escalator to the security room. Kill the vamps inside and use the modem on the computer. Willow will deactivate the security locks. Make your way back out into the mall and the security door on the right will be unlocked for you to go through. Do so and prepare for a show down with the evil Tara.
Tara, like all the bosses so far in this game have their own little trick beating them. Tara will be on the other side of the room and there is no way to do physical attacks to her yourself and she has a force field that she puts up to block any magic attacks from you. So how do you hit her? You don't. You get the vamps to do it for you. Stand behind a pillar and pop out so that when Tara sees you she will either send a fire ball at you or summon a vamp. The vamp will jump across the gap and attack you. Use your possession spell on it and it will jump back over and attack Tara. Tara will kill the vamp when it attacks her but the vamp usually gets a few good shots in before it dies. After the vamp is dead, let Tara see you and she will send over another vamp. Keep repeating this until she is taken out by her own kind.
