Chapter 21: End of the Line

Yee Haw, this mission is quite the fun one. First thing you need to do is ride up to the train and start to take out the soldiers who pop their heads out of the windows. When you have killed a few, ride past the windows and hop off the horse onto the flat part of the train. Go to the right and climb up on the roof of the train car and drop down the other side. Shoot the red switch there a few times and the train car will separate from the train. Climb back up on the roof and head back over to the flat car. Step inside the car first before you get back on your horse. Take out the guys in the next car, the guys at the far end and the soldier arming the gatling gun. When they are dead, then you can hop back on your horse and continue to the next car.

Now the next train car will have more soldiers popping out but no gatling gun since you already killed him Ride right past them all until you come to a train car with a red switch on the side of it. Shoot it to open the door and jump in. Shoot the red switch to lose the back half of the train and to trigger a scene. Hop back on your horse and ride over to the other track where the hand car is. Jump onto it and man the gatling gun. Take out any soldiers you can since they won’t stop firing at you. When they are dead or mostly dead since the horse riders will keep coming back, start shooting the red paneling on the engine of the train. As you shoot it, pieces will fly off and expose the underneath. When it is exposed, shoot it until the train stops and a scene plays.

Chapter 22: Devil and Angels

Now you get to square off with none other then Diego himself. There are a few enemies around the train and Diego himself is in the middle car with no way in except through the window flaps he opens to fire out his flares. Stay close to the train so the cannon balls don’t get you and kill the soldier in the last train car. When he’s dead, go to the train car where Diego is and wait for one of the flaps to open. When it does, toss in some dynamite and he will come out to play. I think it even works if you miss the flap and just set some dynamite up beside the train car.

When Diego comes out, he really is one of the easiest bosses so far. He’ll fire flares at the ground near you so that the cannons will shoot there, but as long as you stay near the rear of the train, they don’t matter. Use your dual pistols on him and keep shooting him in the head repeatedly and quickly. When you keep hitting him, he won’t move or even fight back, he’ll just sit there and take it. When you need to reload, run around and don’t let him hit you. When you’re done reloaded, just keep doing the same thing, stay at the rear of the train and shoot him in the head over and over and he’ll go down quickly.

Chapter 23: Battle Royale

When you get back to Brimstone, do your shopping and talk to Swift and Stoakes about the battle royale. When you are ready, go to the sheriff’s office and talk to him to enter the contest. When you accept a scene will play and the showdowns will begin. Your first contest is against the small Mexican, Navaro, who was always in the saloon. He is no harder to defeat then other draws in the game and goes down just the same. When he is dead, a scene will play and show you Jack Swift and Annie Stoakes battles and how well they did.

When the scene is over, you are up against the second competitor, Kid Cougar. He is a toughie and will probably take a few tries to best. As soon as you draw, go right for the head and put as many red crosshairs as you can and hit R2 immediately before he can fire at you. He is quick but you are quicker and you will be victorious as long as you don’t dilly dally trying to perfectly place your shots. When he is defeated, you will be back in the saloon and will be informed you have a room upstairs. Talk to the people in the bar and go up to your room to end the chapter when you are ready.

Chapter 24: Battle Finale

This duel is not fun. Kelly is one fast bugger and can kill you before you even blink. To defeat him you need to be really fast and really accurate. When you draw your gun make sure it is a perfect draw by having your hand low and the closest to the gun and pull up quickly as soon as he grabs it. This will give you a perfect grab and should put your crosshair right near his chest to start with. Label him with red crosshairs all over and pull the trigger before he gets a chance to fire one off at you. Kelly is very fast and will more than likely take more than a few tries to get right. After he goes down, another scene starts and you need to finish him off.

This is where it gets highly frustrating. The townsfolk are running around like chickens with their heads cut off and Kelly will start firing at them if you don’t attack him quick enough. If he or you kill any of the townsfolk, the mission is failed and you will have to go back and duel Kelly all over again. To defeat Kelly after the duel when he is running around the town, shoot his feet and he will do a little jig. When he does that, start firing at his head and take him out. You will need to do it about three times assuming you nail him good each time he does his little dance. When he is dead, a scene starts with Jack and Annie and the chapter ends.

Chapter 25: The Siege

When you are at the store, pick up the widow maker and the high caliber rifle and enter the mission. You will need to kill all of the soldiers in the courtyard here while making sure Jack and Annie don’t get blown away. Watch out for Oswald on the second floor balcony as he has a nasty rifle that does some nifty damage to you. When all the soldiers are dead except for Oswald, hide behind a bush and let Oswald shoot at you. Seems the bushes are bullet proof and he doesn’t bother to even look at Jack or Annie. Let them kill Oswald while you stay behind the bush. It takes some time for them to kill them but it doesn’t give any damage to anyone…other than Oswald.

When he goes down, another boss comes out named Randy and believe it or not he’s even easier than Oswald was. Kill all the soldiers that enter the area first and Randy will always be in the center area where the fountain is. As you move around the fountain, so will Randy. He will always be directly across from you. Move so that Randy’s back is facing Jack and Annie and let them take him out while you stand there and day dream about whatever you like. When he goes down, Annie takes the lead and you need to get inside the house. Follow her and Jack to the right while she tries the door there. It won’t open and more soldiers will rush in the area. After you take care of them, she’ll want to try the door upstairs. Follow them up stairs and then there will be more soldiers there, around the corner and on the roof. Take them out and when they realize the top door is locked, Jack will suggest picking the lock on the front door.

Why they didn’t pick the lock of the door they were already at I don’t know, but now you need to go down stairs and protect Jack for three minutes while he picks the lock. This can be super frustrating since there are about 4 bosses that come out to fight during the three minutes. When they come out, use the high caliber rifle and blow a hole in their face from close up to do some heavy damage to them. Also I found that the twin pistols did a lot of damage and didn’t have to be reloaded quite so often. You won’t stop moving for the whole three minutes and watch you don’t stray too far from Jack. When the Cornet Brothers show up, try to focus on them one at a time and keep on them until they die. They are also the only ones who will drop health for you. When the three minutes is up, a scene will automatically start giving you time to rest your poor hand.

Chapter 26: House of Cards

Now that you are inside the house, take out the soldiers in the main lobby both upstairs and downstairs. When all is quiet, head to the left downstairs and you’ll notice Annie is missing. Go all the way left and make a left turn down the hallway there. The end room will be full of enemies so use some dynamite if you like to help clear it out, otherwise stick with the High Caliber rifle. When you clear it all out, you will need to make your way up stairs now by using the staircase there. Go up and clear out the bedroom on the left and start your way down the hall with the iron railing on the left. When you reach the end, another cornet brother will come out.

Kill him and there will be a room on the right with an overturned clock and some baddies. Toss in some dynamite to blow them out and enter the room. When you do, you will be told that something looks odd about the walls. Press the square button to hug the wall with the lights on it and slide all the way to the right. A scene will play and a secret passage will open. You enter it to follow it while Jack stays back to take care of the remaining soldiers. Follow the passage along and down the stairs. Take out the four soldiers at the bottom and look through the next secret passage door. Kill the soldiers across the hall by using dynamite to get started. Step out of the passage and run back in to get the rest of the enemies moving. Take them out and enter the room across the hall. When Annie shows up again, you and her will be pals down another hallway.

Kill the many soldiers that appear here by staying in the first room and letting the soldiers come to you, as well as the two more Cornet brothers that appear. When they are all dead, go through the first door way and head up the stairs on the right. Kill the swarm of soldiers there and a scene will play when you reach the end of the hall. Now you get to travel through the house with the Buffalo Soldier by your side but not for long since you are immediately thrown into a duel. This duel is fast but it doesn’t seem as fast as it was with Kelly. It may be because of getting used to the quick draw technique but it seems more comparable to Kid Cougar than Kelly. Get some good targets on his chest and head and let ‘er rip to take him out.

Chapter 27: Fall from Grace

Stay behind the windows on the roof and pop the few enemies on the platform above. There aren’t many and they aren’t hard to hit. Buffalo Soldier will run over to the metal gate when they have been killed and a scene will play. Now you will be on the rooftop with Griffon and two soldiers. Go to the ramp between the two walls near where Buffalo Soldier got smushed and pull out your High Caliber rifle. Zoom in with it and slowly walk up the ramp until you can see the heads of the Governor and the soldiers. The soldiers will climb up on top of the wall so kill them when they do. When they are both dead, creep up the ramp a little more until you can successfully hit the governor in the head.

Keep firing at him and if you do it just right, he won’t hit you while you fill his head with bullets. When he gets to about half his life, another scene will play and a duel will begin. If you aren’t ready for it, it will be over in the blink of an eye since there is no preparation before hand; it just jumps right into it. You don’t need to plaster targets all over him either. Remember he has half of his health so you only need two or three red crosshairs and pull the trigger before he does. Hopefully you have a lot of health still left because if you fail and die, then you will be back where you and Buffalo Soldier first reach the roof and you’ll have to do it all over again to get to the duel. When you do take him down though, breathe a sigh of relief because you just finished the game!

Congratulations!
