X-Mansion

Explore the mansion all you like by talking to the team members around the house. Feel free to shop at Forge’s and Healers as well as visiting the danger room. When you are all ready and geared to go to the next mission, head to the war room and you’ll be off to the Astral Plane to rescue the Professor.

Mission Fifteen: Astral Plane

Now that you are back on the plane, make sure you have the Astral Stone equipped on one of your characters. Head up the stairs and around to the right to reach the extraction point. Save and then head to the left and up the large set of stairs until the scene plays. When it does, it will show three doors that appear. You will have to enter each three to retrieve the Honor, Wisdom and Justice to gain access to the Professors mind. Continue along the platform and head down the next set of stairs. Enter the first door, the far left one, and it will take you to the Guardian Statues.

Enter the area and make a left down the stairs and continue to the right. Fight all the fiends and shades that appear and continue moving towards the yellow x on the map. Head up the stairs and go right and up another set until you come to the room that has a floating shield that is Xavier’s symbol of honor. Head back out of the room and head for the entrance and you will run into a rather disturbing “Dark Blob”. When the battle starts, start wailing on him and then a pink ring will appear around him. When that shows up, a statue in the area will have a glowing white light in it. Smash that statue and then attack Blob again. Keep repeating that pattern until he drops. When he does, head back out to the Threshold and save.

Enter the next door which is called the Chamber of Earth. When you enter here, head to the left and down the stairs. Defeat the fiends there and activate the panel. Now that the panel is moving, head back up the stairs to the entrance and go down the stairs on the right. Jump to the platform and kill the fiends on the other side. Pull the lever there to rejoin the team. Head left and hop across another platform to come to another switch. Pull it and the team will regroup to face a bunch more fiends. Continue through the rooms and up the stairs and you will come to a set of Scales that is Xavier’s Wisdom. Grab it and head back to the entrance and you will run into a dark version of Avalanche.

Dark Avalanche can be a pain in the ass without the right team. He is hard to get close to and doesn’t take physical damage well. I used Psylocke the most and had her toss her psychic bolts at him while running in circles. Also have Jean Grey use shout to distract him and then have Colossus or Wolverine do some hefty combos on him. Keep moving and stay away from him so his quakes don’t nail you. When you finally drop him, run for the exit and back to the extraction point to save. Switch up your team to mainly physical fighters and head through the third door, The hall of fire.

Make your way through the area, as it is very straight forward. Up and down the stairs until you reach the floating book which says it is the Professor’s Knowledge. Weird since knowledge wasn’t one of the three things we were after. Anywhoo, make your way back to the entrance and take a wild guess who you’ll have to face. That’s right Dark Pyro. Out of all the enemies in the X-men universe, they have to keep using the same three crappy enemies over and over. To defeat Dark Pyro, you’ll need to attack the little fire demons he send out so that the flames around him will diminish. When they do, have Wolverine give him a power attack and it will take off most of his life. Three attacks like that and he will fall.

When he is dead, head back to the Threshold and save at the extraction point. Head up the stairs on the left or right and you will place the items on the pedestal there. After the scene, head across the bridge and enter the coliseum. When you do a scene will play and you’ll be up against “Xavier’s Champions”. There are four of them and they really aren’t tough at all. There will also be some fiends in the area to help raise your Xtreme attack meter. Make sure you have a team of physical fighters and mental fighters. I choose Wolverine, Psylocke, Rogue and Nightcrawler and they kick their asses in no time flat. After the scene, you will be back at the mansion.

Mission Sixteen: Sentinel Factory

After the scene in the war room, you and your team will be heading to the Sentinel factory. Save at the extraction point as you enter it and head to the right. When you get up far enough, a tank will roll out as well as some GRSO guards. Take them out and continue along the path until the next scene plays and another tank rolls out. Continue to the next and the next and after you have destroyed 4 of them, head around the corner and go through the large doors on the left to enter the Fabrication Facility. Once you are inside, save at the extraction point and you will have three objectives of Locating the sensor, destroying the production machinery and finding the controller. Head down the stairs and start fighting the enemies in the area there.

Head up the stairs on the far side and then through the door there to grab a danger room disc. Head out of that room and make a left and go down the stairs on the right at the end. Follow the room to the far side and destroy the first of three production machines there. Head up the stairs on the right side of it and follow the corridor around until you come to the next 2 machines to smash. Destroy both to complete the second objective and then head up the stairs at the far right and enter the Armor Application. When you enter, you’ll be given another objective of smashing 3 sentinel machines.

Head down the stairs on the right and smash the one there. Head up and over to the other side taking out the enemies there. Head up the next set of stairs and talk to the lab tech in the far room. Go through the next door and down the stairs to take out the machine there. Head back up the stairs and head across the walkway to the door at the far end. Follow that through until you come to the room with the third machine on the lower level. Destroy the machine there and then head up the stairs on the right side to enter Leg Attachment.

When you enter, you will now need to disable the leg attachment machines. Save at the extraction point and head down the stairs. Fight the enemies there and at the far end of the room go up the stairs and into the office on the right to find the first control. Use it and go out the other side. Have iceman make a bridge and go across the gap there and head left into the next area. Go down the stairs and left to the set that lead up into the office. Use the controls there and then head back down and over to the stairs you entered from. Head up the stairs across from them and follow them around to the next doorway which will be the arm attachment.

Enter the very small head attachment area and head down the few flights of stairs to reach the bottom floor. Go to the left where the Sentinels are coming out and use the control panel there. Head to the other side of the room and use the second panel there where more Sentinels will be coming out. When they are all toast, head up the stairs and there will be a swarm of enemies there waiting for you. Fight through and go through the next hallway to enter the Head Attachment area. Go to the extraction point to save and then head up the stairs on the left side. Follow the corridor around and head up the stairs on the right to enter a room there that has the Sensor in it. Grab it and head out the door on the left. Enter the office on the other side of the bridge there to get another danger room disc, focus 601.

Jump over the edge of the bridge and follow the floor around to the right and up the stairs at the end where the Sentinels are coming out. Go through the door at the top of the stairs to enter the storage warehouse. Simply head to the X on the map since it is a very direct route to get there. Head past the black guards and the Sentinels and grab the navigation controls. When you do, head back out and start taking down the Sentinels. You’ll need to take out the 8 that were set free from the attack. When you take them all down, the door in the far room atop the stairs will open and two new enemies will be introduced as Bio Sentinels. Fight past them and a few more black guards and you’ll come to a lift. Ride it down to enter the Bio-lab.

Save at the extraction point on the right and make your way through the lab until you come to a sentinel Spiderbot. When it attacks, you will be disoriented and your control will be reversed. Take it out as quickly as possible and continue to the next scene where you learn where the new sentinels are being produced. Follow the rooms through defeating them as they come and enter the Bio-lab workshop when you come to the entrance. Make your way through, killing rush of bio-sentinels and black guards that appear until you reach the next extraction point. Save there and then head up the stairs. Smash through the wall to get to the next room and follow the path until you reach Kincaid’s office.

After the scene, you will have a new objective of finding Kincaid. Exit the office through the next door and you’ll come to the entrance of the Bio Lab Gallery. Fight though each room as you enter them and save at the extraction point in the third. After you save, head to the left and follow the rooms through to a set of stairs and a scene. Afterwards a spider bot will come out and battle. It will be the same as the previous one so make sure you destroy it quickly like before. After it’s toast, head up and through the next few sets of doors killing everything you come across. You will come to an energy drainer that seems to take life. Smash through the wall beside it and run past to the next few rooms where you will come to a set of stairs and another spider bot.

After you take it out, grab the disc on top of the machinery to the left and then head up the stairs on the right to enter the Subject Retention Center. Head through the first few rooms and you will come to a large room with a blue cell in the center with Gateway and a Morlock inside it. Now you have the objective of liberating Gateway. Walk up to one of the four metal stands in the corner and wail on it with a power hit. When it falls so will the cage. Gateway will set up a portal for the rest of the prisoners to escape through. Head back to where the stairs that lead up to the extraction point and face the wall. Now this is the tricky part of the level. This is actually the easy way to get around what you are supposed to do. If you look, you can see a room over across from where you are. Use Nightcrawler to teleport into it and from there to teleport into the two cells that are holding the Morlocks in the center.

When you talk to each, teleport back out and then back beside the stairs where you teleported in. Now chances are that the rest of your team is still in the other room but you have the Morlocks with you. Go to the extraction point and change a team member and they will all be right back with you. Now you need to go get the other three prisoners. Head back to where Gateway was and head up the stairs to the left. Head to the right and you will come to a split that will go two ways. Down the left side will be two Morlocks and down the right will be three. Take them all back to the portal and a scene with Kincaid will play. Afterwards, head up the stairs to the left of gateway and go through the door there. Follow through the office and a scene will play.

As the next area starts, save at the extraction point and move forward. Follow the corridor around until you get another scene with Kincaid. After it plays, smash the three bio-domes that have Bio-Sentinels coming out of them. When all three are toast, head up the stairs on the right and follow the rooms through until you get to Kincaid’s office and the mission will end.

Mission Seventeen: Astral Plane

Head forward and to the right to save at the extraction point. After you do, head up the stairs there to the left of it. Follow the stairs up and through the area where the fiends will rush and attack. There will be plenty of them to fight but when you get to the end of the path, there will be a staircase on either side of you. To the left will be Cyclops’s danger room disc and to the right will be a set of stairs with a switch just out of reach. Have Jean Grey use her power on it to pull the lever and the door below will open. Head all the way back to the extraction point and save. Now make your way up the stairs closest to you and follow them around until you come to another extraction point and the doorway to the Forbidden Halls.

When you go through, head up the stairs in front of you and follow them to an open area. Head up the next set of stairs on the right and a scene will show you a control appear beside a door. Take out the fiends and head back down the stairs to the control panel and go through the door. Go through and to the right and continue through until you go down the stairs. Kill the fiends there and head for the floating block. Have Jean op on it and go to the other side. Use her powers on the switch to open the door and the team will rejoin to go through the door to enter the Lost Passages. Follow the stairs up and around through the fiend infested areas and since there really is only one path, follow it until you come to a moving block.

Jump on it and float across to enter the next area and pull the switch to have the team rejoin. In the next room will be an extraction point and the professor. Save and then have your team crack at the crystal in the center of the room. Have Colossus or wolverine give it three or four power hits and a scene will play as the professor comes back to you. After the scene, you will be face to face with the cheap Venom imitation known as Shadow King. As the battle starts, you are both giant gladiators.

As soon as the battle starts, level up the professor. Use your X power to hack and slash at his form and avoid the spears that he throws at you. When he summons his bats, use your Xtreme attack once or twice to finish them all off and then pick up all the goods they leave behind. Once you have Shadow Kings armor off, then he will attack with two more copies of himself. These are pretty easy to defeat since when he breathes his green breath at you, he is stuck in one spot for a good amount of time. Hit him then with your attacks and then work on the other copies when it goes down. Take out the bats as well for extra goodies and when every one is dead, the mission will end.

X-Mansion

Now that you are back in the house that Xavier built, you have the objectives of heading to the hanger to talk to Beast and Wolverine, Exploring the mansion and hitting the war room.

Mission Eighteen: Asteroid M

As the mission starts, you will have Emma, storm, wolverine and iceman as a team. Save at the extraction point. Make your way through the very linear and straight forward path along the walkways and through the doors until you come to the door at the end that leads to the power station. There will be a lot of Acolytes along the way, and one Morlock to talk to but nothing that your team shouldn’t be able to handle with out breaking a sweat. As you enter the next area, simply do the same thing although the acolytes here get up after you beat them down which is great for getting full health and energy.

Make your way through the entire area and eventually you will come to a small room with a Morlock. Talk to him and then exit the room and go through the next door to find Mystique. After her speech, take out some of the Acolytes that appear to get the proximity keycard. When you have it, head across the long catwalk and make a left at the end and enter the door there to ride the lift down to the Inner Quarters. Save at the extraction point there and head through the doors. Continue forward and through the hallways until you reach the next lift that will take you down to the command center. Since the Acolytes keep coming back after you defeat them, the easiest way through this part of the level is just to ignore all the enemies and simply run through the hallway to the lift.

When you enter the Command Center head forward and have iceman create a bridge at the top of the catwalk there. Go through the door and hang a left and keep going straight until you come to the extraction point. Enter the door on the left and you will finally come face to face with Magneto. When the battle with Magneto starts, it’s pretty straight forward. Have Wolverine hack and slash with his power attacks and when Magneto gets to about half his life, Sabretooth will appear. Magneto will then have little X’s flying around him. You won’t be able to hurt him when they are there so focus on Sabretooth and take him down quickly. When he drops, Magneto will be fair game again.

When you get Magneto down to about a quarter health, Mystique will appear and Magneto will be invulnerable again. Take down Mystique just like you did with Sabretooth and then you’ll be able to focus on Magneto once and for all. Once he is down for the count, you will still need to go and stop the Sentinels. Save at the extraction point and head back into the room where you fought magneto and enter the door on the right. Go down it and you will come to Lounge deck A. Make your way forward and you will have some more Bio-Sentinels to deal with. Grab the keycard from the room on the left and make your way back out and through the next door at the end of the room.

Have iceman make a bridge where it is needed and then follow the walkway to the left. Save at the extraction point and continue through the Sentinels until you come to a ramp at the end of the long room that iceman needs to make. Head up it after he does and he will need to make a bridge as well. Go through the door at the end when the flames are not shooting at you and head through the next door. Continue to watch out for the flames and switch to other team members when necessary to move them out of harms way. Hop on the lift in the corner of the next room and go down to Lounge Deck B.

After the scene, you’ll need to find the Gravitron to stop Asteroid M from smashing into earth. Make your way forward through the corridors and save at the extraction point when you reach it. Continue through and you’ll come to a door that you need Iceman to create a bridge out of to continue. Do so and create two more bridges on the left side, one to the ground and one to a statue. Grab the Legends Danger room disc from behind the statue and head into the room at the end of the ice bridge. Make a left and go through the door there. Follow the hallway around to the left and you’ll come to a lift that will take you to the Main power core.

When you enter there will be a crap load of Bio-sentinels around here. Take them out until you finally get a cut scene of 3 spider bots entering the room. When they enter, you will need to defeat 6 of them to progress to the final Boss. I used Wolverine to attack the spider bots and then to retreat to the upper level to rest up and regain health and energy. When he was full again, have him attack them again. Keep doing that until all six are dead and make sure you save every once in awhile at the save point. Once they are all dead then the Master Mold will enter. He really isn’t as tough as he looks, but he does have a missile attack that can be pretty devastating. Have the team hack and wack at his legs until he gets to about ½ life. When he does, three sentinels will appear and head up each of the ramps. Take out all three of them before they get to the control at the top and they won’t retaliate back at you.

When they are taken down, continue to hit on the Master Mold until he turns blue and electrical like. When he does, head up each of the three ramps and turn on the generator controls there. When all three are activated they will send out a red beam that attacks him. When it does, hop down and continue to hack at him to finally finish him off once and for all. Once the Master Mold finally falls, watch the ending scene and congratulate your self on finishing one hell of a long game!
