Locating each of the Colossi really isn’t that difficult considering your sword will always point you in the right direction and seeing a hawk flying above your head lets you know you are going the right direction. This guide will tell you the coordinates of each beast and then help you to defeat them. There are plenty of spoilers included in here, so if you really don’t want to know about any beast, other than the one you are fighting, be careful how far ahead you read. Have fun!

Colossus 1

Location: F5

Type: Biped

Once you reach this colossus, he won’t be too interested in you until you get close to him. When you do, you will need to watch out for his large club and its enormous feet as you let it get close to you. The strategy for this behemoth is to climb up the back of his left foot and grab the hair on his leg. Once you see the light blue vital mark there, stab it with the sword and the colossus will stumble forward onto his knee for a few seconds. When he does, climb up the back of his thigh and pull your self up the hair there until you reach the ledge at the bottom of his back. Rest there to gain your stamina back and then climb up the center of his back to the next set of platforms. You can either wait and rest there and continue all the way up his back to his shoulder and try to rest there when he isn’t flailing about. When you reach the top of his head, the vital symbol with be on top of his skull in plain view. Give him two full charged stabs and he will drop. Yep, this big guy is an easy one, but it’s all a lot tougher from here on out.

Colossus 2

Location: G2

Type: Quadruped

Once you reach the location of this beast, he will break through the cave wall and walk out onto the beach. As the battle starts, run behind him and take a look at his hoofs. You will notice that they have a glow to them. Use your bow to fire at the bottom of his feet and he will kneel down on which ever leg you hit. Run to the front of the knee and jump and climb up the hair there. Continue to climb up the thigh until you reach its back. Make your way to the ass of the creature and with your sword out, you will see the vital symbol. Nail it about three times with charged strikes and the symbol will disappear. Now you need to make your way to the head of the beast for the second symbol. Climb over the scales on its back and use them to rest if you need it. Once you reach the head of the creature, another three stabs in the head should bring it down once and for all.

Colossus 3

Location: E2

Type: Biped

Another big fella to contend with. Once you reach the top of his platform, he will rise from off the ground. You will notice that he has a large flat hand like a sword. He will have two attacks that he uses, one is to smash the sword down on you and one is to try and step on you. Run to the center of the platform and there will be a stone circle there. Stand on it and let the colossus come to you. What you need to do, is have him swipe at you with his sword hand and strike the stone platform. When you do, the bracelet around his arm will shatter and fall off. Now have him strike again and this time, when his sword is in the ground, run up it and jump onto his arm. Climb up it and climb around to the back. Jump over to the left, onto his body, and grab onto his back.

Drop down onto the ledge there and run around to the front of his stomach. The vital symbol will be right there in front of you. About 4 charged strikes should kill off the symbol and you’ll need to start for the next one. Now you will need to either try to jump over to one of his arms, or fall off and hit the ground work your way back up again. This time the symbol will be right on top of his head, so it does take a little while to climb up to. Use his arm to get past the ledges on his back, and then continue up his neck to the top of his head. Make sure you have enough stamina to hold on after you strike his head as he will thrash about. When he slows down, use his neck to recover and then climb back up to the head. A couple more jabs in the noggin’ and he will fall.

Colossus 4

Location: G5

Type: Quadruped

When you reach this colossus, you should have noticed that you passed some openings along the way. Ride Agro back towards the first one you come to and enter it. Stand in the opening and wait for the colossus to come to you. When he approaches, run down to the passage and wait at the bottom for the colossus to start shaking the tunnel. The colossus needs to be on the top of the cave however and not in front of it. Once he is in position, run the next set of stairs that are opposite where the colossus is looking in from. Go outside and run up behind the colossus. Duck if you need to so he doesn’t see you and wait until he peers into the cave and his tail will lower. When it does, jump on it and grab the ledges there and pull yourself up to his back. Run all the way across to his neck and there will be a small vitality mark there. Just a blue crack like the first colossus had on his leg. Stab it enough and the colossus will drop his head down and give you the opportunity to run across his neck to his head. Once you reach his head, hang on and start jabbing the large vitality symbol there to bring him down.

Colossus 5

Location: H4

Type: Airborne

Oh this one is a little different than the rest have been. When you make it across the water and to the structure, jump down through the hole in the fence and swim forward and to the right and make your way to the flat stone columns in the water and you will see the colossus perched on a pedestal in the distance. You will need to shoot an arrow at him to get his attention and he will start to circle around the area. When he is flying about, use L1 to track him and then start firing arrows at him. When you have hit him enough to piss him off, he will come at you. When he dives down to attack you, move to the side so that where his wing meets his body is coming at you.

Jump when it comes and grab onto the hairy part there. Once you are on his wing, climb to his back and wait for him to flatten out. When he does, run to the end of his tail and the first vitality symbol will appear there. Stab it a few times until it disappears and make your way back up to the center of his back. Now comes the hard part. There are two more symbols and each are located near the tips of each wing. There is a large gap of no hair on the wing that you will need to wait for the beast to calm down to run across. When it does, run to the end of the wing and grab on. A couple of stabs and the symbol will disappear. Make your way back across the wing and back of the colossus and head for the symbol on the other wing. Take a few stabs at that one and the giant bird will take a dive.

Colossus 6

Location: D6

Type: Biped

When you enter the cave, climb down the wall of ledges and the cut scene for the colossus will play. Once it does, turn around and you will see a short wall there. Climb over it and continue over the next two walls and hide under the platform at the end of the room. Stay under there and wait for the colossus to come looking for you. When he bends down to look for you, run out of hiding and jump and grab onto his beard. Climb up it while he tries to shake you off and head for the top of his head. Give him some good jabs into his head and the vitality symbol there will disappear. Now you need to work your way down his neck and back until you reach the next symbol there. Once you are in front of the symbol on his back, give it a few simple stabs and the great beast will collapse. Definitely one of the easiest colossi yet.

Colossus 7

Location: D1

Type: Amphibious

Once you reach this water dwelling behemoth, jump in the water and watch as it swims around. The hardest part of this one is actually getting a hold of it. Watch it swim around and when it gets close to you, try to make your way over to it. Try to swim parallel with it while above it. Its tail will eventually come above the surface and give you the chance to grab onto it. Once you have a grasp on the creature, hold on until it starts to swim along the surface. When it does, run up to the stalks on its back and there will be small vitality spots behind each one. Stab those but make sure you are above water when you are near them. When you go under, they will give off a shock that really devastates your life. When he surfaces, immediately run to the first stalk and grab the hair near it and stab it. It only takes one stab to take them out, so be quick. Once the first one is down, repeat the same thing for each of the remaining two. Chances are, now the big fish will go for a long swim under water and you will get thrown off from lack of air. If you do, surface and repeat the same process of climbing back onto the fishes back. Once on, head all the way to the front and stop on top of its head. Give it a few more jabs in the top of his head when he surfaces and he will sink to the bottom.
