Pryzm, a powerful young female unicorn, and Karrock, a troll-mage, form a reluctant partnership to seek the source of a plague of evil magic that has infected the Troll Mountains, Elfin Forest, Gnome Hills and Nymph Marshes. The unlikely duo search for the roots of the curse while using their magic spells to ward off attacks and restore to health the mutant sorcerers, warriors and monsters they encounter throughout their journey.
