Yuke's Invade America
Smackdown makers open up U.S. offices.

Yuke's announced today that it has opened their first North American office, Yuke's Company of America. Yuke's Company of America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuke's Co., Ltd., and intends to publish games on a number of platforms including the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PSP. Yuke's was founded in 1993 and has over 100 employees worldwide. Yuke's is primarily known as a developer of great wrestling and racing titles, including THQ's WWE Smackdown series, the Rumble Roses series for Konami, and the D1GP Professional Drift series. Yuke's is a major sponsor of Team Orange, a premiere drift racing team, and has a controlling interest in New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd. Yuke's Company of America will publish their first title for the Sony PlayStation 2 in July 2006.
