CMP's New Group Director
GDC organizers appoint Kathy Schoback to the position of Group Director.

CMP Technology today announced the appointment of videogame industry veteran Kathy Schoback to the position of Group Director of the CMP Game Group. The Game Group is the organization responsible for the largest game industry-only event, the Game Developers Conference, as well as the Austin Game Conference and the media outlets Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com. In this new position Schoback will be responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the Group to maximize profitability and growth, and will help set and implement the Group's overall global strategy.

Kathy Schoback's game industry experience spans nearly 15 years, with the majority of her career spent at SEGA of America. Schoback also served time at Eidos and AGEIA.
