Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today the release of Rogue Galaxy exclusively for the PlayStation 2. Developed by Level-5, Rogue Galaxy is an epic space pirate adventure set across vast worlds with intricate backdrops, unique characters, and diverse gameplay. The acclaimed development team, popular for their successful Dark Cloud series, has brought to life a true-action RPG showcasing stunning environments, an immersive storyline with more than 100 hours of gameplay, and a proprietary combat system that provides players total control during battle.

In Rogue Galaxy, players follow the story of Jaster Rogue, a young man bound to a simple existence on the desert planet Rosa. By chance, he is recruited by the space pirate Dorgengoa to embark on a treasure hunt throughout the galaxy. Jaster and the crew encounter numerous adventures and battles as they seek out the legendary planet that holds this special treasure: the key to eternal life.
