The PlayStation 3 still out of your price range? While we wait for a price cut on the next gen system, the PlayStation Blog has confirmed that Sony has announced starting tomorrow, April 1st, the PlayStation 2 will be available for under $100 USD.

The PlayStation 2 price has been chopped from $129.99 down to $99.99 and although it may not be the price cut that some players are waiting to hear about, it’ll give a chance for those, like myself, who have an older PlayStation 2 that doesn’t feel like playing certain older games, to get back into it.
