E3 2008: Sony Computer Entertainment Media Briefing
God of War III and MAG top a long list of new titles hitting PlayStation 3

A price drop for the 80GB PlayStation 3 from $499 to $399 could spur sales and encourage downloads on the new video store. What really drives any console though are games. After announcing Resistance: Retribution and Super Stardust Portable for PlayStation Portable, new titles for PlayStation 3 were shown. A nice little trailer teased a 2009 release for God of War III.

Surprise title from last year's presentation, inFamous, has now been pushed back to spring 2009. Lastly, Tretton revealed Massive Action Game (MAG). In this hardware-pushing game, over 256 players battle it out simultaneously. The squad-based shooter won't be available anytime soon, though, as neither Sony nor Zipper Interactive would name a release date.

While Sony's presentation didn't have any shocking announcements, it did highlight what we already knew about the momentum of PlayStation 3 through this year. Several compelling exclusives and big name titles through next year are sure to drive the console into continued success.
