Spiderman: Web of Shadows Announced
The web slinger returns, but for good or evil?
Date: Friday, April 18, 2008
Author: Jeff McAllister

Activision has spilled the beans to IGN on their next Spiderman game entitled “Spiderman: Web of Shadows” currently in the works from Shaba Games and Treyarch for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC.

The game will be a sandbox style game much like the Spiderman movie games, but will be based on the comic universe. The catch for the game this time around is that players will be able to play the game how they want, either being the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, everyone knows and loves, or being a super powered snob, looking out for number one.

” Although it wasn't ready to say too much about the action-adventure game, Activision did tell us that Web of Shadows will be set in a free-roaming, open-ended New York that combines web slinging with customizable superpowers. There will be the traditional combo attacks on the ground, but the game will also feature a brand new emphasis on vertical combat as gamers take Spidey to the skies and duke it out with bad guys.”

With Comic-Con kicking off in New York City, be sure to expect some more information on the latest title soon.
