Split/Second to continue in spirit?

It was confirmed last month by Eurogamer that Split/Second developer Black Rock Studios was in a state of limbo - still in business, but without a game to develop. Disney Interactive Studios has pulled the plug on numerous employees...

Oops, how insensitive of me. I guess "made redundant" is the new politically correct way of saying, "Your butt just got fired!"

As told to GamesIndustry.biz, former employees Stuart Pharoah, Steve Uphill, Andrew Hubbard, and Kim Burrows have gone on to form ShortRound Games.

No projects have been announced, but ShortRound Games has expressed interest in developing for PS Vita and iOS.
