Developer Halfbrick has joined forces with DreamWorks Animation and THQ to combine its popular Fruit Ninja iOS app with the upcoming DreamWorks Animation motion picture Puss in Boots - in theatres October 28 - to create Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots. Adding Spanish and fairytale themes from the film to the core Fruit Ninja gameplay, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots features new modes and unlockable weapons and backgrounds. Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots will be available on October 20 for $.99 for iPhone and $1.99 for iPad (HD).

Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots features two new modes (Desperado and Bandito) and The Stash, filled with unlockable wallpapers and blades. Desperado Mode features new Magic Beans and enhanced waves and scoring. Bandito Mode is a four-tiered challenge adventure where players work through a number of increasingly difficult and varied slicing games. Finally, the new "Puss in Boots" themed unlockable items available at The Stash include the Cat Cantina arena, the Firework blade and the Cat's Claw.

Puss in Boots will be available at theatres nationwide on October 28.
