SOS from EA but with World Cup Flair..

Online over Xbox live was fun, however; with more Europeans than Americans playing the game, you’ll have to play on European time (ie afternoons Eastern time) to really find a good lot of players. On online game I had, Italy vs the USA was pretty lag free and I was impressed with the quality of the online play. You could definitely tell it was an online game, but it was playable.

2006 FIFA World Cup is truly a game I really want to like. There’s enough in it to play for a while, however the control issues and the terrible, repetitive play by play really bring it down a notch. The game was released as a full price ($59.99 US) Xbox Live title and it really should be in the $39.99 range – I’d give it a better recommendation if it were marked down. As a full price title, it’s definitely worth a rental, but not a purchase. - Dan Clarke.
