Tales Of Phantasia Review
11 out of 15
Namco delivers a solid RPG adventure that borrows heavily from previous Tales games.

Finally the graphics in this game are very nice. The sprites are very well crafted, as well as the backgrounds. They are quite a pleasure to look at, as they are very intricate and colorful. Many parts are interactive, like switches and moving statues. Overall this Tales title looks good on the Game Boy Advance..

In the end Tales Of Phantasia does provide some entertaining classic RPG action, and takes some of the best features from other Tales titles to create a well rounded RPG experience. Namco has updated the game, and added quite a few things, while leaving the best parts untouched. I had hoped that they would have improved the combat style, so that you could either take direct control of your team mates, or have better control of your main character, but that didn't happen. The voice action is a great touch, as well as the inclusion of the title system, and cooking features. This is one of the better RPG games out there for the GBA, even though the game doesn't go out of its way to be too innovative. All and all Captain Gordon gives this game a B. - Gordon Edward .
