Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting Review

Capcom's classic is still a fun game offline, but the online mode could be much better..

I’m not sure why this game is $10 but the other 2 arcade classics were $5. Yes, they were released 10 years earlier, but still. There’s not a whole lot of depth here, and basically you’re paying $5 extra to play online. If online was a lag free experience, I’d be a huge fan. However it’s frustratingly broken at this time and one can only hope that Capcom continues to work on fixing the problem.

Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this game, but the online play was very frustrating and the offline play is very difficult even on the lowest levels making it a big challenge for novices to pick up and play. There are so many other good games on Live Arcade, I think this is one to pass on for now, at least until the online play isn’t as broken as it is now.
