These two games embody a sense not of power and glory, but of kindness and humanism (ironic, considering neither hero is human). And they're both tremendously effective in conveying this to you, the player. In a time when the message and influence of videogames is a central issue, Chibi-Robo and Okami deserve not only attention, but commercial success. Because this is how our industry will grow up: by paying attention to not just how it conveys messages, but to the substance of them as well.
