Virtua Fighter 5 Review
11 out of 15
Beautiful for sure, but there really isn’t much new here in the fifth installment of SEGA's fighting game series that significantly sets apart from previous efforts.

Virtua Fighter 5 feels like it caters to its rabid fan base more than it courts newcomers. A gorgeous graphical update and two new characters are more than enough to satiate the appetites of ardent followers; however, there really isn’t much here that significantly sets this fifth installment apart from previous efforts. This, along with the glaring lack of online features, makes Virtua Fighter 5 limited in its appeal. Even if it doesn’t shake the series up, it would be hard to deny the allure of spectacular visuals and finely-crafted fighting in Virtua Fighter 5.
