The Shield Review

This action game based on the popular FX show doesn't do its source material any justice at all.

Graphically, collision detection issues and a general lack of polish on the characters and the locations complete this dismal affair. When games like God of War I and II, Okami, and even the new Ghost Rider game can put together graphically pleasing efforts on the PS2, there is really no excuse for the poor presentation in this game.

To put it in a nutshell, the biggest sin of the game is the apparent lack of effort put into it. This is game design by the numbers, with each part of the game barely able to get a passing grade, and as a whole being just sufficient enough to get stamped ‘done’ and tossed to an unsuspecting public. Hopefully the next generation of gaming will get things right and be done with drivel like this.
