Capcom Puzzle World is a collection of classic Capcom puzzle games including Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Block Block, Buster Bros. and Super Buster Bros. While many of these titles aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, the collection is worth the price of admission just for the excellent Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. This decade old bubble popping puzzler is presented in this collection almost perfectly.

The three Buster Bros. games let you take control of a wacky brother that runs from side to side, shooting their handy harpoon guns into the air to pop giant bouncy bubbles before they make contact with you and kill you. As you shoot these bubbles they break up into smaller bubbles that you have to keep shooting to get rid of.. As you progress you get upgrades to that harpoon gun that give you better firing rates and more, along with a time stopping power-up and even a temporary shield.

While there aren't too many differences between these three titles there are some small upgrades.. Super Buster Bros. introduces panic mode, a special iron man style mode where you try to simply survive a continuous onslaught of bubbles for as long as you can. In Buster Buddies you get characters that have special skills like the ability to shoot at an angle or immunity to certain types of enemies.

There's also Block Block, an Arkanoid knock-off where players must move a paddle from side to side to bounce a ball into a formation of blocks and break them. Sound familiar? There are a couple of problems with this game that make it almost unplayable on the PSP. For one the controls on the PSP just don't work very well at all because they are a little more sensitive than they should be. Another problem the game is that it is very hard to see on the PSP.

But the best game in the collection is also the main reason anyone should pick this collection up for the PSP.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo offers a nice enhanced overall presentation and gameplay that fans of this classic will remember and enjoy. In this game players move colorful gems as they fall from the top of the screen to line them up with other colorful gems and special chain gems to cause chain reactions for fame and folly. But the real fun of the game is that you are always being challenged by an opponent - whether that opponent is another human player or a computer controlled combatant. This added challenge makes this game a lot of fun.

When you battle that opponent and clear out your field, it will cause counter gems to appear which are a real pain because they can not be cleared by a chain for a certain number of turns. Being a little strategic you can counter this by quickly clearing whatever has already fallen before these gems drop, but it gets tricky as the battle rages on. This element makes the game a real struggle of wills as you throw counter gems their way and vice-versa and both sides deal with them in quick and creative fashion.
