.hack//G.U. vol. 2//Reminisce Review

Reminisce feel like Rebirth 1.5, but at least the story is solid..
Date: Sunday, May 27, 2007
Author: James Fudge

The game is certainly heavy on the plotline, which will have you following leads given to you by various characters both in the game and in applications in your virtual desktop, and most of them are pretty obvious. And while many of the cutscenes in the game tend to be filled with dialogue that is long winded it pays to not skip them. The only real drawback is that much of this is geared towards players that have played previous games in the series, so you may find yourself scratching your head at certain statements. For those that have played, it is also important to not skip through these long scenes because the story being told is basically the only difference between Rebirth and this game...

At the end of this game within a game, Reminisce isn't bad at all - its biggest problems are that it is just too familiar to .hack players and many of The World's areas feel a little too recycled. IF you have never played a .hack game, then Reminisce is a good place to start -- and if you have be prepared to deal with more of the same stuff found in rebirth.
