10 out of 15
Grand Phantasm is fun but it feels a little too much like the first two adventures.

Finally there's the overall presentation of the game. Grand Phantasm will look very familiar to fans of the last few games because it borrows a lot of those games' core components, characters and backgrounds. This fact certainly won't hurt the feelings of hardcore series fans, but for everyone else looking for something a bit flashier or even new, you'll probably be disappointed.

Grand Phantasm delivers exactly what Atelier Iris series fans are looking for. For the rest looking for something that deviates from the series' trademark formula, it might best to look elsewhere. But for those who have never tried an Atelier Iris title and want to get their feet wet, Grand Phantasm is probably the best starting point.
