Dating, like everything else in the game, isn't all that exciting. The "date" scene starts out with some small-talk (much like other interactions in the game) with multiple choice questions that can lead to some suggestive situations. But the game stop short of nudity and even the apparent "taboo subject of kissing" is avoided, making gamers wonder why the bothered to get a date in the first place.

After all the lame dates, boring classes and all the soul-devouring pandering to simple-minded peons you had to partake in, you'll eventually be done with school. Much like real high school, you'll be relived and thankful that it is finally over. At the end of the school year you get a brief summary of how your life ended up based on everything that happened during the year. The end game is a pretty weak pay-off for having to play through this game, and while there's a "what if" factor involved, chances are that won't be enough to compel anyone to play through the game again.

Perhaps I'm being a little too hard on Brooktown High, but it really annoys me that such a fun concept has been watered down to the level that Brooktown High has been. With better pacing, some deeper activities to partake in and a more finely tuned interaction system Brooktown High could have been a lot of fun. But in its current state it's tough to recommend this game to anyone.
