Metroid Prime 3 gracefully enters the field, with an ambitious new control style and some of the most immersive gameplay yet.

That aside, let it be said that Corruption is currently one of the best possible purchases one can make for the Nintendo Wii at the moment, and unless you happen to have some kind of freakish aversion to first-person titles, there’s simply no reason not to pick it up. While it’s easy to pick out little gaps here and there where improvements still need to be made, those not as nit-picky as I am will find a very satisfying and incredibly immersive experience that simply should not be missed. The campaign in itself offers a good deal of play time, but in a flash of brilliance, the developers also added unlockables, which can only be purchased by completing certain goals in the game (scanning objects, etc) and getting currency. These range from simple art books, to playback options for the game’s epic musical score, or even cool little novelties like bumper stickers for Samus’ ship (which I’m still working up to try and purchase). The only other disappointment is a lack of multiplayer, but regardless, you can expect to have an epic time with Metroid Prime 3.
