There are three multiplayer games available: You can run a straight race, square off head-to-head executing scripted stunts on a movie set to see who gets the most points (with the ability to steal your opponent’s “string” by running into him, which is a neat twist), or take turns to see who can score the highest in a specific movie scene. Multiplayer is available via a split screen, linked Xboxes, or on Xbox Live.
Another neat touch is the Constructor mode, where you start with a blank arena, and set up your own props and stunts. As you play the career mode, you unlock more items to use to construct your driving playground. You can either do this as a “free play” mode, or take the constructor challenge and set up the stunts according to your director’s desires.
Stuntman: Ignition will induce some controller-tossing moments, but the action is so intense and fun, it's hard not to want to do that "one more take." It's thrilling, maddening, and addicting all at the same time. Fans of action movies, and arcade driving fans, will absolutely eat up what the game offers. Even when you aren't successful, some of the resulting action is still funny and attention-grabbing, including earning certain badges and award nominations for your death-defying missteps. This game is easy to get into, but challenging to play. Most importantly, it's almost always exciting and fun—and easy to recommend.
