Adventure games are nowhere near as popular or as widespread as they once were which is a shame as they can be one of the best sources for genuinely thought-provoking and immersive gameplay. While the title does have a few head-scratching moments, they are less because of a true puzzle involved and more often that of the player simply being frustrated at having no idea how to progress. Evil Under the Sun suffers from a variety of flaws, glaring and otherwise, but its biggest is that it simply fails to truly draw the player into its world and offers gameplay that is tedious, derivative, and ultimately forgettable.
