My only other complaint is in the generic look of many of the stages themselves. The art direction, character design and animation are all absolutely stellar, making some of the bland environments far too ho-hum for my tastes. This, combined with a few tedious stretches of ghost tracking, is the lamest part of the game.

Thankfully, the cutscenes do much to break up the action when things start to feel stale, and the story was definitely good enough to keep me happily busting until the end. Plus, the game features excellent co-op play, which also goes a long way in keeping things fresh and fun (ghost hunting is always more fun with a buddy!).

Ok, so there are some issues that keep this from being the pinnacle of Ghostbusters nirvana. It’s still the most fun you can have without strapping on a proton pack, hijacking an old ambulance, and harassing the undead ladies at your local library.
