Warriors Orochi 2 Review
5 out of 15
Same as it ever was.

Once you've completed the five story modes, provided you can last that long, you can enter Dream Mode which allows you to use any combination of three heroes for more soldier slaying. Why the combination of heroes makes a difference is beyond me as it doesn't appear that your heroes team up in any meaningful way. If you have some friends that are having trouble sleeping you can have them join your game via local wireless and the two of you can tackles all of the tedium together. There are some competitive modes to partake in as well however none of them are all that compelling.

The game is able to handle all of the various onscreen enemies with no discernible frame rate issues, however given the bland environments and enemies, that ain't saying much. Still, plenty of games manage to screw up bland environments, so good on you Warriors Orochi 2!

If you're a fan of the Warriors games then there's certainly plenty to do in this game with five stories, 96 characters and the local multiplayer, however if you're a fan of these games you bought this game when it came out and you could care less about this review. For everyone else, if you're thinking of getting into the Warriors games with this one, well, don't. Save your hands and your time for something better.
